She has protested everyday since the motel was closed and the museum opened in it's place. She use to live in the motel.
The 2025 MAC Scholarship was awarded in honor of Ben Dixon (left), owner/operator of the University Commons Chick-fil-A on Evans Street in Greenville. During the program, PCC Marketing Director Jane Power presented Dixon with a plaque to commemorate the recognition.

The first-annual MLK Week Unity Dinner brought together Colgate students from over 25 cultural and religious student groups for a community-building discussion, dinner, and talk from keynote speaker, Amid Safi, director of Duke University's Islamic Studies Center.
