A thin layer of ice covers this pond due to the stillness of the air. I was disappointed when I arrived at this site as I was looking for some beautiful reflections in the foreground water. A very slight reflection is present on the ice but would have been a better composition I think with the fog and the "still" open water.

Aptly named "Maid of the Mist", the boat overloaded with tourists in thin plastic slickers heads into the mist at the Horseshoe Falls (Canadian Falls). The boat travels amazingly close to the base of the falls, and the tourists get a drenching from the heavy misty shower.
By afternoon, there is usually enough of a breeze to blow the mist onto the tourists standing along the topside sidewalks on the Canadian side of the falls (to the right ), dampening their clothes and coating their expensive cameras.
There are two major waterfalls at Niagara Falls, the American Falls and Horseshoe Falls (Canadian Falls).
I think this is my favourite out of my misty morning sunrise on Saturday.
I hope everyone has a lovely Bank Holiday or just Monday depending on where you are!
Revisited and edited an old favourite capture. Photographed winter 2015 at Delft, Netherlands.
Happy Tree-Mendous Tuesday!
Perfect condition for winter photography ☺️
I had to take two exposures one covering the sun to stop the flair from ruining the foreground.
Taken with the Fujifilm XT20
Ever changing light!
Mornings like this one justify why I sometimes just setup the tripod and stay rooted to the same spot for sometimes over an hour.
Watching the blue hour tones give way to yellows, oranges and reds until the sun rises and shows the natural greens of the countryside and blue from the clear sky!
The rolling mist just adds some lovely atmosphere and mood to the conditions around!
This tree was mainly green still and not what I was looking for with autumn colours but given the light and morning mist I thought I would take it anyway.
Thanks very much for visiting and comments!
der weiße Nebel wunderbar.
And from the meadows climbs
A wondrous white mist.
