“No one can see very clearly inside the heavy fog, no one but the fog himself!”
― Mehmet Murat ildan
I was returning from an afternoon walk in the woods as the sun was setting. The mist began to rise over the fields and when I rounded the corner to look down into the valley towards Beldlam Bottom, this scene met my eyes. Quite extraordinary. On the right you can see the steep road winding up out of the other side of this valley but the bottom of the road is shrouded in mist.
Misty morning at a lake in Wanstead park
Taken at Petersfield Heath Pond on a misty visit. On the left of this island,a profile of a cormorant and on the right, a Heron can be seen perched on the edge, looking for their next meal.
Misty view across the Higashiyama mountains from Mount Hiei (比叡山), the home of Enryaku-ji temple, Kyoto.
Early morning mist lifting in a view looking east to south east on the way up to Craig Cau on a very early ascent of Cadair Idris. The sun was well above the horizon but the sky still had colour left from sunrise. In the middle is the ridge above Bwlch Talyllyn followed by the Aberllefenni hills with Waun Oer 670m the high point on the ridge on the left, prominent behind it is Maesglasau 674m. The weather at the time was very hot, so to avoid the heat it was better to start early, after Cadair Idris I continued westwards along the superb ridge over Tyrrau Mawr and Craig y llyn to end the day on the coast at Llwyngwril without seeing anyone else all day.
