Descolou esta manhã da Base Aérea N.º 6, no Montijo, uma aeronave C-130H com um

conjunto de militares da Força Aérea e do Exército, rumo ao Mali.

Os familiares e amigos puderam despedir-se dos militares que partiram e que vão passar

o Natal fora de Portugal e longe dos seus. A cerimónia de despedida foi presidida pelo

Chefe do Estado-Maior do Comando Conjunto para as Operações Militares do EstadoMaior-General

das Forças Armadas (EMGFA), Vice-Almirante Fernando Pires da

Cunha, e contou também com a presença do Comandante Aéreo, Tenente-General

Joaquim Borrego, bem como de outras altas entidades militares.

O contingente que partiu hoje constitui o grosso das tropas que vão cumprir a missão

MINUSMA (www.un.org/en/peacekeeping/missions/minusma/) naquele país

africano, sob a égide da Organização das Nações Unidas.

Nos últimos dias já tinham descolado outros dois grupos de militares, que constituíram o

grupo avançado. No voo de hoje seguiu ainda uma equipa médica da Força Aérea, que

voltará ainda este domingo e que é responsável por acompanhar e fazer regressar um

militar português que adoeceu no terreno.

A missão prolongar-se-á por seis meses, sendo composta por cerca de 60 militares (que

serão sucessivamente rendidos) e uma aeronave C-130H, da Esquadra 501 – “Bisontes”.

O destacamento fica enquadrado no contexto de Força Nacional Destacada na

dependência do EMGFA.

Each month MINUSMA MOVCON organise massive logistic convoys involving up to hundred civilian and military vehicles to supply remote UN bases in northern Mali.The roads are the most dangerous in the country due to frequent encounter with mines and IED.

Launch of the vaccination campaign for staff of the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali (MINUSMA) at the MINUSMA clinic. Since the beginning of the vaccination campaign, MINUSMA staff have been mobilizing massively to be vaccinated against Covid-19.

Minister-president Mark Rutte en minister voor Buitenlandse Handel en Ontwikkelingssamenwerking Liliane Ploumen hebben afgelopen 2 dagen een bezoek gebracht aan Mali. Begeleid door Commandant der Strijdkrachten generaal Tom Middendorp bezochten zij de Nederlandse militairen in de VN-missie Minusma (Multidimensional Integrated Stabilisation Mission in Mali).

The Egyptian contingent of MINUSMA, based in Douentza in the Mopti region of central Mali, consists of 200 peacekeepers who provide security for logistical convoys and field operations. This team is mainly composed of women who search for and detect improvised explosive devices (IEDs) during logistical convoys and long and short-range patrols.

The Canadian Armed Forces has deployed an Air Task Force to Gao to enhance MINUSMA operations with aeromedical evacuations to safeguard UN forces as well as transport and logistics capacity. Operation PRESENCE consists of 250 soldiers, sailors, air women and men and includes three CH-147F Chinook and five armed CH-146 Griffon helicopters.

After armed clashes between the Coordination des Mouvements de l'Azawad and the Plateform Coalition, the town of Anefis was taken over by elements of the Plateforme on August 17. MINUSMA strongly condemned these acts and declared that they constitute a flagrant violation of the ceasefire and the Peace and National Reconciliation Agreement for Mali, to which both rival groups are signatories.

A aeronave C-130H, da Esquadra 501, é uma peça fundamental na concretização da ponte logística intra e inter-teatro, destacando-se a capacidade de carga, a flexibilidade, robustez, versatilidade, raio de ação e autonomia. Aliado a uma tripulação certificada, capaz e pronta, torna-se num meio desejável em qualquer operação internacional.

 

É neste âmbito que a Força Aérea Portuguesa encontra-se integrada na Força Multinacional de Estabilização das Nações Unidas (#minusma), no Mali, desde o dia 29 de agosto, no apoio às autoridades do país através de operações que assentam na promoção e proteção dos direitos humanos.

 

Até ao momento, a Força Nacional Destacada, composta por uma aeronave C-130H e 47 militares – 41 da Força Aérea e 6 do Exército - realizou cerca de 90 horas de voo e transportou cerca de 500 pessoas e mais de 90 toneladas de carga, destacando-se das suas missões diárias, a entrega de alimentos e água potável.

À travers cet événement, El-Ghassim WANE a voulu mettre en vitrine le génie créateur malien dont la force de l’imagination est capable d’enfanter une nation unie et résiliente. Des membres du gouvernement malien, les représentants spéciaux du Secrétaire général de l’ONU en Afrique de l’Ouest et du Centre, les Chefs des Agences, Programmes et Fonds onusiens opérant au Mali, des responsables d’organisations professionnelles nationales étaient présents à cet événement.

The Aeromedical Evacuation Team cares for one of an injured Chadian peacekeepers from the UN Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali (MINUSMA) on board the UN plane transferring him to Dakar, Senegal. The vehicle he was travelling in hit an improvised explosive device (IED) yesterday on the road between Aguelhok and Kidal. Four peacekeepers lost their lives and fifteen were injured in the landmine's blast.

Den svenska styrkan i Mali är en del av FNs stabiliseringsinsats MINUSMA (United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali), och utgörs av ett underrättelseförband och en nationell stödenhet. Huvuddelen av styrkan är placerad på Camp Nobel i utkanten av Timbuktu. Svenskarna är tillsammans med ett motsvarande nederländskt förband i Gao en del av det multinationella och fristående underrättelseförbandet ASIFU (All Sources Information Fusion Unit).

 

Den 25 april 2013 antog FN´s säkerhetsråd resolution 2100, som med stöd av FN-stadgans kapitel VII inrättade en FN-ledd stabiliseringsinsats i Mali, MINUSMA. I FNs säkerhetsråds resolution 2227 ges MINUSMA sitt mandat att utföra fyra priotiterade uppgifter och två tilläggsuppgifter som bland annat infattar säkerhet, stabilisering och skydd av civila och stöd till återupprättandet av den Maliska statens kontroll av det egna territoriet. Det svenska underrättelseförbandet har till uppgift att stödja MINUSMAs uppfyllande av säkerhetsrådets mandat genom att leverera underrättelser som kan ligga till grund för MINUSMAs beslutsfattande.

L’hôpital de niveau 2 de la MINUSMA à Mopti regroupe l’ensemble des spécialités allant de la médecine générale à la chirurgie, en passant par le dentiste. Les services sont rendus par un personnel toujours disponible et très professionnel, mais également très enthousiaste. Les Casques bleus du contingent pakistanais de niveau 2 a pendant les moments difficiles, rendu un grand service aux populations du secteur centre à travers les nombreuses prises en charge et évacuations sanitaires des blessés suite au nombreuses attaques qui ont lieu dans la région.

Dans le village de Sofara, chef-lieu de la commune de Fakala dans le cercle de Djenné, région de Mopti au centre du Mali, la Police des Nations Unies (UNPOL) rassure la population civile en effectuant des patrouilles.
