PERSONAL FUN FACT: This was not just my first Island Fun Miko ensemble, but my very first complete fashion from this line. I do have Barbie, Ken, and Skipper's get ups. However, I never found a single lei for them. I couldn't believe how pristine my third Miko was, when I stumbled upon her at the local flea market. She was part of the "Great 80s Lot." It was an untouched case of minty looking Barbies from predominantly the 1980s. A lot of the gals even had their shoes still! Miko was one of the Barbies that stood out to me straight away. I couldn't believe she was still wearing not just her swimsuit, but that darn lei! It's still stretchy too, after all these years. This line is so much fun. I like that the swimsuits themselves are solid colored (except for Ken, who has floral shorts). The real eye catching piece for each doll is the tropical printed wrap. Miko's is this awesome shade of yellow. It's still super vibrant even though she's almost 40 years old!
The little Raccoon comes out, picks up a flower and then runs off. Amazing how they are trained.
This is a lousy photo taken from a good distance on a cheap camera. So sadly, the quality is never going to be that good. But since this show is now gone, I will never be able to get new ones.
