This amanita was found nearby my home. I set my camera on top of a sandbag and used the self-timer for shoot. After I had pushed the button I placed a black cardboard behind the mushroom. Then I repeated this manouver a several times with a different settings. Finally I picked the best pic in Lightroom and completed the image so that colours and sharpness pleased me and the background was truly black. And here´s the result!
This is Miko, fully equipped, armed to hunt down any rover crossing the dunes of Arkon. The tired ones are an easy catch! Some say, his skin is green, but one thing's for sure: No one, who might have gotten close to him, is able to spread the word...
This is my entry to the FebRobbery contest.
In Shinto, a miko is a shrine maiden, or supplementary priestess.
They are trained to perform tasks around the shrine, ranging from sacred cleansing to performing the sacred Kagura dance.
Typically in their late teens or older, this shrine in Takaoka is highly unusual in that its miko are far younger...
PS You will notice the miko on the right is holding 'suzu', the bells used in the Kagura dance.
