Heathens commonly adopt a cosmology based on that found in Norse mythology—Norse cosmology. As part of this framework, humanity's world—known as Midgard—is regarded as just one of Nine Worlds, all of which are associated with a cosmological world tree called Yggdrasil. Different types of being are believed to inhabit these different realms; for instance, humans live on Midgard, while dwarfs live on another realm, elves on another, jötnar on another, and the divinities on two further realms.

Most practitioners believe that this is a poetic or symbolic description of the cosmos, with the different levels representing higher realms beyond the material plane of existence.

The world tree is also interpreted by some in the community as an icon for ecological and social engagement. Some Heathens, such as the psychologist Brian Bates, have adopted an approach to this cosmology rooted in analytical psychology, thereby interpreting the nine worlds and their inhabitants as maps of the human mind.

Bifröst (,schwankende Himmelsstraße‘), oder Asbru (,Asenbrücke‘) ist in der nordischen Mythologie die dreistrahlige Regenbogenbrücke zwischen Midgard (Erdenwelt) und Asgard (Himmelsreich der Asen).

Fenrir the wolf is the child of Loki and the giantess Angrboda, and brother to Hel and the Midgard Serpent.

In Norse mythology, Útgarðar; the word can be anglicized to Utgard, Utgardar and in other ways) surrounded a stronghold of the Ettings. They are associated with Útgarða-Loki, a great and devious giant featured in one of the myths concerning Thor and the other Loki who compete in rigged competitions held in the Outyards. These outdoor arenas contrast with the putrid, indoor cave where Útgarða-Loki is said to dwell, when chained, in the Gesta Danorum. In another version of Norse mythology, Utgard is thought to be the final of the three worlds connected to Yggdrasil being the home of the external cosmic forces. Utgard needs be compared with the Midgard, the world of human affairs, and Asgard, variously attested at the crux of the matter, the centre of the world, as identified with Troy by Snorri Sturluson.

In a Norse-inspired perspective, Eostre (Ostara) could be seen as a lesser-known goddess of spring, dawn, and renewal, akin to Sól, Freyja, or Idunn in her connection to light, life, and fertility. While she is more commonly associated with Anglo-Saxon and Germanic traditions, a Norse interpretation would place her among the Vanir gods, those tied to nature, growth, and rebirth.

Eostre’s arrival would herald the breaking of winter’s hold, her footsteps melting the last frost as she weaves golden light into the fields. Hares and eggs, symbols of fertility, would be sacred to her, and the dawn itself would be her cloak of shimmering gold. She might walk the realms of Midgard and Asgard, bringing warmth where Skadi’s cold once ruled. In a Viking’s eyes, she would not be a mere maiden of spring, but a shieldmaiden of light, battling the lingering shadows of winter so that the world might awaken once more.

Thor and the Midgard Serpent

A storm tore sky and sea apart as Thor, god of thunder, stepped into the boat beside the giant Hymir, waves crashing like mountains and lightning burning across the heavens.

With grim resolve, Thor baited the hook with an ox’s head, and as blood spilled into the sea, the deep stirred and the Midgard Serpent rose, vast and terrible, eyes blazing like fire.

Bareheaded in the storm, Thor seized Mjölnir as lightning flared behind him, while the serpent gaped wide enough to swallow gods and worlds alike.

Thor hauled the line with all his strength and struck, the hammer’s blow shattering the air and making the sea roar—until a terrified Hymir cut the line, and the wounded serpent sank back into the depths.

Thor watched the dark waters close, knowing the battle was only delayed, for one day at the world’s end they would meet again, at Ragnarök.

This is the finished museum project on which I have been working for the past 18 months. It took a long time and a countless number of rebuilds because I was trying to polish every detail until I was satisfied with it. One of my main passions in building is the geometry, more complex the better and the one that I wanted to incorporate into this project also contributed to the extend time period and parts required to finish it the way I wanted to :) The most eye-caching examples of it can be found on the slanted foundations with cut corners, round small building and gazebo, rounded main entrance, concave conical roofs and the main dome. In every building there is a interior - the walls are double sided and floors are tiled.

I tried to take photos of most of the details so I hope that you will enjoy them :)

Kada sam prgi put vidio fotografiju, asocirala me je na toz kafe. Kafa je izvor energije, crna boja kao crno zlato (nafta), namijenjeno da probudimo masinu. Kadar je postavljen tako da imamo kontrast lijeve i desne strane, svijetlo protiv tamnog. Sami krug u cvijetu kafe podsjeca na zmiju koja sebi grize rep, kao Jomugander (the Midgard Serpent) iz Nordijskog folklora. Svakako, cesto kafa zavrsi u lavabou/sudoperi gdje je finalna konekcija moje fotografije sa fotografijom izazivaca.

Epic Keytar solo time

Alex asked me the other day, why he didn't get any hugs und snuffly kisses from all the other bears on The Internet. When I explained that I haven't felt like taking teddy bear photos, he explained back, that as much as he respects my feelings, he rather feels like getting greetings from places he never heard of.

So here he is, playing pen and paper RPGs, but without the boring writing stuff, just the fight of the noble Orsimer against the bloody Lawn Ornaments.

Just a good looking tug we saw tied up in St. Maarten.

We were just walking on the pier when the security lady started yelling at us to come back. As usual, I had led us into a no go zone and she wasn't having it on her watch.

I've always been one to say it's better to beg for forgiveness than to ask for permission and with a small apology on my part she sent us on our merry way.
