-Metallica is an American heavy metal band. The band was formed in 1981 in Los Angeles.
-"Bleeding Me" is a song from their 1996 album, Load.
"Bleeding Me" is one of the few Metallica songs that contains a Hammond organ.
-The inspiration from the song appears to come from a poem by Lord Byron in which he states the following:
"The thorns which I have reap'd are of the tree
I planted; they have torn me, and I bleed.
I should have known what fruit would spring from such a seed."

Reworking of an old shot from 2017.
Our guides to Goyder's Pillar in the Simpson Desert in Australia's Northern Territory were an aboriginal family who spend their winters on their ancestral lands taking care of Batton Hill Camp on the Hay River - it's a dry riverbed for most of the year - and who move to the air-conditioned luxury of Alice Springs during the summers when it gets unbearably hot (50C).
Some info on Goyder:
"Named by Chas Winnecke after George Woodroffe Goyder (24 June 1826 – 2 November 1898), South Australian Surveyor General.
Winnecke in his report of his 2nd expedition (1883) wrote:
'These hills, when viewed from a distance, have the appearance of white pillars; they are crowned by perpendicular Koaline rocks. During my previous exploration I named them Goyder's Pillars, after G.W. Goyder, Esq., the Surveyor-General of South Australia.'
Goyder is known for having fixed the limits of sustainable agriculture in SA with extraordinary accuracy. Known as Goyders Line, he advised the most northerly point at which agriculture would prove unsustainable (eg. north of Burra).
Also named for him are a large river in Arnhem Land and electorates in both the Northern Territory and South Australia. Mount Woodroffe, the highest peak in South Australia at 1,435 metres named after him (George Woodroffe Goyder)."
Metallica's guitairst Kirk Hammett's birthday today, (b. November 18, 1962). My publication, Go Venue Magazine, got approved to cover their show at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota on September 11, 2018. Had a blast!

I sat down at the stone stairs at Vattentorget. Had a missed call from the brother in Barcelona, so I called him up. And as we were chatting away, I noticed the dude with the Metallica t-shirt walking his dogs. So I tried shooting a few snaps of him one-handed with the mirrorless Canon while holding the smartphone in the other hand. Which turned out to be tricky, but the dogs were in no real rush so in the end I got the shot which I informed the brother about as he was sitting on his balcony looking at the Sagrada Familia.

An old sketch I did back in 1989 along with my concert ticket stub from the "And Justice for All" tour. I would have been 20 yrs old at the time. Metallica is returning to Pittsburgh this year in October and looking forward to reliving some of my youth.
Those of you that have photographed Metallica this year know how difficult this shot is. The stage is a monster and you can't shoot from the center.
