I told you the thing did not look safe, but no,no, the adventure queen had to get on and tell me to pull the lever. It clanked and groaned and started around, and then with a jolt and a bang that nearly tossed you in the water...dead.
"Fix it!" you said, as if I knew anything at all about the mechanics of carnivals. "Climb down." "In this dress?" I started to reply and thought the better of it.
I found a soda machine that was still working, and tossed you a Coke. You sneered at it, "Coke, really?" As if there might be a choice in this place. "And it's warm!"
I sat don on the bottom gondola, opened a warm Coke, and settled in to wait for someone smarter than me to amble by and get us out of this mess.
And so we waited, at Dya's.
Broken Arrow, OK woke to a nasty mess, nothing to stop travel but definitely slow it down, freezing rain and sleet now just a cold day ahead.

Just messing on a wet Friday night
Wishing I was in a hot, dry desert. Just to make a bit of a change.
This Wood Duck Drake in his finest Spring attire is rebuffed by the fair maiden. Perhaps a more subtle approach would have served him better.

Sometimes you just make the wrong decision in life. Today was one of those days....
The ultimate goal of the day was to shoot the moonrise. At 94.5% it was almost full but still a little detail to be had. TPE was checked yesterday and it was due to rise 8mins after sunset. Perfect for an orange moon against a pink sky.
We had scouted for shrooms first then saved enough time to get back up high for the main event. Checking PhotoPills on the ascent for its position revealed it was already up!!! WTF!!
My settings for TPE must be on the wrong time zone!
