We had to pack up and move south via Hwy 283 South then Head due east of Hwy 89. This route takes us though Beaver City, Orleans, and eventually just north of Alma Nebraska.
Now just north of Alma Nebraska...
We didn't allow us much time to find a suitable spot for us to the base of the storm. A few things to note here.
When we chase, SAFETY is the number 1 thing that I stress to the individuals that chase with me. I have to practice what I preach.
We have to find a safe spot to pull off and get the pics, vids. Once we make this choice to pull off when always include a EXIT plan before we stop. (Chasing for all these years, I've learned a very valuable lesson. Never stop unless you have an open an safe exit area when chasing severe weather
We had limited time when we stopped. Storm was approaching fast from the southwest. Where we stopped I wasn't considering how high the corn here in Nebraska in late August. We didn't get a choice to move. It was now or never. So we stopped & set up fast and got with I could with 4k @ ground level.
It was our best structure of severe weather 2021. Defined Meso... Eye Candy Structure.... What more could we ask for!

First Stop Beaver City just for a few mins. This is where the storm intensified and we had a well defined Meso on this storm with all the extras.
We were still a few miles ahead of this beast and safe. Plenty of time to stop and have a picnic.... A well 4 course meal of Storm Photography!

A freebuild for Brethren of the Brick Seas on Eurobricks. Meso-American style watch tower inspired by the style of Gideon's Jungle Temple. Also I obtained one of the new Lego jaguars and desperately needed to build something to show it off! :)
A Myzec warrior takes Colonel Dirk Allcock to an overgrown watchtower on the outskirts of Myzectlan where the guards have reported frequent sightings of one of the elusive big cats prolific on Cascadia. In the early hours of the morning, Dirk finally sights one of the islands magnificent jaguars.
Well, it seems each Summer Joust the duration of build time for my first build gets longer: I started this quite a while ago, but at least it's here now. I hope you like it! I was inspired by the Aztec Game where they try to hit the ball through the stone hoops. I tried to make the ring smaller, but couldn't get that done. Also I tried to make the posing more dramatic, but couldn't do that without cheating with glue or something, which I had rather not ;) . I'm happy with it though, been a while since I had done a Meso-American MOC: or any MOC at all, for that matter!
An entry for the Summer Joust 2018 in the Meso-American category and a freebuild for Brethren of the Brick Seas on Eurobricks.
This was one of those builds that took ages and I am finally glad that it is finished. The build looks far bigger in real life, the photos make it seem quite compact!
Anyway, thanks for looking, good luck to all those competing in the Summer Joust this year and thank you once again to all the organisers!
Sometimes in Arizona you get lucky when you're out chasing and happen to stumble on a storm that not only looks pretty great from far away, but it also suddenly begins to form structure on it right before your eyes and the next thing you know, you have a bonafide mesocyclone. These are kind of a rare occurrence out here, but lately they seem to be happening more often. EIther they've always happened and no one sees them in the wide open lands of Arizona, thus an influx of storm chasers has suddenly revealed these hidden gems...or El Nino and climate change are the reasons. Or a combination of both. Either way...August 2nd south of Holbrook was amazing!
Not the most angry and intense storm ever, but this is Arizona! Such a treat to see something like this.

As the messy part of the meso started to move over my area, I was about to blast east to get out from under it, but stopped and stood outside as the storm glowed a beautiful turquoise blue. I've seen videos of storms that appeared a green/blue due to the sunlight's angle on the storm, but seeing it first hand in person was absolutely mesmerizing. Lightning was striking all around, and the hail shaft came extremely close up on the left of this photo as I snapped away. While I didn't notice it during this time, after looking back at this image I noticed a part of the storm that looked like it was producing a funnel. It's rather hard to tell due to how wide angle I was shooting, but in the center of the frame above the road, let me know what you think it might be. Scud, or a funnel cloud? Anyways, I was going to post pictures of the supercell I saw back on the beginning of October, but I came across this photo from June and thought it was much more post worthy. Hope you enjoy!

CAT:

=====================
A few months ago I discovered the modularity of the Sinar large format cameras, made in Switzerland since 1986. It's amazing, even more customizable than Hasselblad for medium format.
From a base rail, as well as two standards (objective and plate holder), this camera can be adapted to multiple formats: 4x5, 5x7, 8x10. The rail can also be lengthened to use long focal length optics, as well as various optics, backs, intermediate standards, bellows and even a magnificent central shutter that allows the use of "barrel" lenses, however archaic that be.
It's what I've done here, mounting a 150 years old brass petzval lens, made by Derogy. Thanks to the impressive large format Sinar-Copal leaf shutter, I can use this lens with film. The speeds of this shutter go from 1/60th to 8 seconds.
But the main idea is to be able to use it as a base for ultra-large format backs made of wood specifically for the Sinar system.

The city is an important industrial center of the state of São Paulo and Brazil. The city has 106 km of bike paths created in the main avenues of the city, and you can cross it only using bicycles for transportation. The planning of the municipality provides for the construction of the largest cycling network in Latin America in the coming years and the establishment of a system of public bicycles, similar to the European cities of Barcelona and Paris. Currently, it is the second largest cycling network in Brazil, behind only Rio de Janeiro.

Trobo a faltar esl jardins, jardinets i parterres del veïnatge on estava.
Potser engrescador. Ja he fet un pas. Veurem com faig el segon.
The 737 series is the best-selling jet commercial airliner in history. It has been continuously manufactured since 1967 with almost 10,000 aircraft delivered.
This is one of my first bigger models (meso scale). I had to use some unusual techniques to get the same shape, but every part in my meso-model is an original Lego part, even the stickers.
