...solstice is done, the sun is returning and so will Spring in 2021, a kinder year because we have to make it so...
(A few flowers and plants which I brought home from the Achensee holidays, pressed between the pages of my sketchbook.....
To photograph with backlight and edit this was a very meditative employment.
Maybe boring to look at - but for ME it`s rather boring, always making the same pictures ;-).......)
At Lake Serene, 'serenity' is the state of being calm, peaceful, and untroubled. Lake Serene has been in this state for eons. The boat is a shared community boat for drifting around the lake to enjoy serenity in a gentle floating manner. Floating improves one's serenity by helping with mental and physical wellness through increasing one's relaxation, energy, and rejuvenation.

During a walk in Berlin, Germany, I saw these people, very calm, staring at the water, in a kind of meditative state.
Find the perfection in every moment instead of trying to make every moment perfect.

I took this on a very peaceful walk around Rice Lake on Monday. This is another place I have photographed many times from different spots. It's a lovely 3 km walk around the lake.
At night in my garden we light almost 60 candles up. And along with the little solar lights... it's makes for a wonderful Oasis of glittering lights. It's one of my most treasured creations my little garden! I can't tell you how many lovely nights we've shared good companie, relaxing meditative music with shimmering lights. And finally a HARDY glass of Wine... or two... maybe even more! LOL :-))
Little information is known about the birth of Martín Vázquez de Arce.
We do know, however, that he died during the Granada War, in 1486.
He has become a romantic figure due to the serene and meditative aspect of his exceptional gothic tomb in the cathedral of Sigüenza, one of the jewels of funerary statuary of all time and a symbol of the city.
The Doncel lies, in carved alabaster, lying cross-legged. He is a knight who has died fighting the infidels. He has a book in his hands, and he meditates with his eyes lost on the ground, after having read. On his chest he wears the red cross of the Order of Santiago of which he is a knight. At his feet, on his metal headpiece, a little page looks at him, and he cries. El Doncel de Sigüenza is the maximum representation of medieval culture, the use of weapons to defend the faith, reading to attain wisdom. The gaze always lost in the afterlife, safe residence of the soul.
Yesterday in a forest full of windflowers, mostly white, in some places pink-colored and the nose full of spring perfume ... a meditative experience.

We bought this rutabaga the other day, and I couldn't help but photograph it. It's one of the ugliest vegetables I've seen in a long time and I picked this one because it was the ugliest of the bunch :)

Between kitsch and art,i move
through a butterfly valley.
For what is happening in this world, looking for hope ?
I don't remember how I got there.
Must have flown :-)
There are worse things :-)

After a rainy day, the sun is warming up the air above the trees and heavy fog is starting to ascent from the forests of the Elbe Sandstone Mountains. This is always a great view what I will never get bored of watching. To watch this permanent changing formations of the fog has got the same mediative effect to me like watching a campfire burning or looking at the sea surf. You can forget everything around you and become calm and relaxed. Maybe I should talk to my health insurance, if I can get payed the expenses of my tours as a medical cure.

During an early morning hike along the river Eger near the Bohemian town of Loket, I came across this small spring that flows into the river.
At that time it was still quite dark and I heard the water more than I saw it. But I've made up my mind to come back here on the way back.
As you can see, I have implemented the project and given this beautiful spot some time. After that, It didn't matter that it started to rain.
There is always something almost meditative about moments that I spend in places like this, in this fairytale atmosphere and with all the sounds and smells. As if I was feeding my inner child.

I had the opportunity a while back to photograph two ballet dancers. I had to step slightly out of my comfort zone because I hadn’t really photographed people before but it was great to see the dancers' grace and talent at such close quarters. (EM120059_MONO_SLATE)
During an evening visit to Mount Tabor Park in Portland, I came across this fashionable female sitting beneath a tree and singing to her soul's content while playing a musical instrument which I later learned was a portable "harmonium." Thanks for viewing! May you find some moments of harmonium amidst life's pandemonium :)

These beautiful reflections on the River Mondego as it flows through the heart of Coimbra, Portugal are a perfect example of Mother Nature's artful abstractions and they led me to meditative thoughts.

Being around in the Wildsee Moor in Northern Black Forest is always a great time. It is an awesome wild place with pristine nature. On this day, we had an overcast sky, so I tried to pick out interesting details next to the lake. This little birch tree really stood out to me and was well worth the shot.

The Samurai- Will Rout
The stillness of the Samurai,
in meditative state;
bequeaths a placid place of roost,
for feathered friends to date.
They have no fear of vengeance,
he could carve them both in twain;
they frolic in his peacefulness,
know nothing of disdain.
His hands are ever ready,
'pon the hilt should trouble rise;
and yet his mind cavorts with those
who come down from the skies.
A mindful man in natures grasp,
of stealth and fortitude;
belayed in moments so serene,
creating passive moods.

I love the fire. It has a magical and almost meditative effect to me. It’s not only the flames, that behave like being a living animal, it’s the smell, the crackling and the heat on my skin as well.
While I was thinking about that, I realised something else, the connection of fire and love. These two are mentioned together very often like in flames of love, ardent love or burning love. And truly, there are many thing love and fire have in common. Both are able to create and destroy and this simultaneously. They are creating warmth (up to heat) and light. They are changing and transforming. But both can hurt and destroy very fast.
When we are able to accept these similarities we may be able to learn something about how to deal with them. They need attention and affection and we don't need to fear for them but we always have to treat them with respect.
I'm sure there is much more to see and much more to learn but I will leave that to you now.

We had a rare sunny moment today and Cleo went outside onto the terrace (I didn't even have to lure her out). This was a perfect moment for taking a photo of her, especially as such occasions will be few and far between in the next months. She didn't pay much attention to me or the camera as she was distracted by the bees in the Sedum.

The morning fog in India during my trip in January 2020 was thick. I could almost smell the heavy mist lingering in the air.
As I explored the temple ground, a monk in his meditative walk passed me in silence.
A month later, Covid-19 pandemic broke out.
