Chin means consciousness in Sanskrit, Mudra means seal which is essentially an energetic and spiritual gesture that controls the flow of energy within the body.
Being careful with each other means we actively acknowledge that no two human beings have had the same life experiences or have experienced life the same way. We are the sum total of millions of moments and cell changes and just thinking about the chances that you'll meet someone you can connect with on a deeper level should feel miraculous.
But humans also become careless with each other, even in long term relationships. Humans ignore each other or assume things about each other easily. Don't be careless. Remember, you can never truly know what another person feels or thinks without opening your heart and making both time and space.
In the last few minutes of your life, it's very unlikely you'll be thinking about an amazing tweet or Instagram post. I hope each one of you is remembering what it felt like to be caressed and loved and how it felt to show this tenderness towards others in return.

Ella was the type to lean a little more towards ‘live and let live’ when given the chance, but she didn’t take lightly being cheated or otherwise done wrong. It was the principal of the thing that she tended to take issue with. Even on the wrong side of the law, she still had a moral compass, though perhaps it didn’t always point due north.
Ella had met her share of shady characters throughout her travels. There was always some degree of dishonesty to a man, she reckoned, but it was all about how much you could live with at the end of the day.
Unfortunately, they’d pin these little tin stars to just about anyone’s chest that would have them, and sadly, hiding behind that little star tended to make a slightly bent man break completely bad.
Ella could wager the lawman had no clue what he was doing when he made eyes for the dappled stud she rode into town on, and she had hard money on the fact that he had no idea what he was calling down on himself when he pulled his gun on her, telling her she’d make it to see another day if she just handed over the reins. Little did he know…
There were few things she held in high regard these days, with all the hard living she’d come to know so well, but Mille and the dappled palomino were two things she held dearest. A history of loyalty had tied them together, and it would take more than some twisted town sheriff to pull them apart.
There are times when knowing when to fold means living to see another day, and though the reins about burned her hand as she handed them over, she knew she’d be seeing the man again, and very soon.

Macro Mondays contribution for 24 October 2016:
Swarowski Crystal Pig. The title means something in that "he" managed to get from his home and under my feet - quite a drop! As I needed to capture a back lit subject he became the obvious choice!
Lighting is all natural which meant I didn't have much time to get a half decent shot. Now I get an idea of what landscape photographers have to deal with.
Ballast season means that I have the tendency to make several trips out to the central/western half of the state, regardless of the distance. However, trips out on the Tomah Sub are rarer for me. The truss bridge at the Wisconsin Dells has been a thorn in my side the entire time I’ve been seriously foaming, especially when I need a cool eastbound on a weekend. Living all the way in the Milwaukee metro area meant I would either need an advance heads up or to already be in the area.
After 4 years, the stars finally aligned for me to get a good train here. While I happened to be in Portage, I got word of an empty ballast train with a newly acquired KCS SD70MAC leading. Exactly the type of cool train I needed to get a shot I found worthwhile.
The added bonus was that it was doing track speed with no opposition, so waiting wasn’t an issue.

The Dutch name Madeliefje is possibly derived from the virgin, because the flower was formerly associated with the holy virgin Mary.
17 degrees means what you is what you get and stays frozen for a long time. The colors were frosty, from the sky to the water.
The idea behind this image was to take a single RAW file and create a soft pastel of various colors almost like a painting, but in a photograph.
This scene was photographed along the Owyhee river in Adrian Oregon.
Newfangled means new and perhaps needlessly modern. It may sound like a new coinage, but in fact fangel is an Old English word, meaning to take, and newfangled is not newfangled at all. It first appeared in the 12th century as an adjective describing a person over-interested in new things. The Black Country Living Museum is an open-air museum of rebuilt historic buildings in Dudley, West Midlands, England. It is located in the centre of the Black Country, 10 miles west of Birmingham.
The museum opened to the public in 1978, and has since added over 50 shops, houses and other industrial buildings from around the Metropolitan Boroughs of Dudley, Sandwell and Walsall and the City of Wolverhampton (collectively known as the Black Country); mainly in a specially built village. Most buildings were relocated from their original sites to form a base from where demonstrators portray life spanning 300 years of history, with a focus on 1850–1950.

Plešivec means "Baldy", but nowadays it's far from that. It's densely overgrown by dwarf pines, only on the SE side 3 picturesque rock towers are rising out of greenery.
Here, the mountain is seen from the SE, behind it are some 300 m higher summits of Košuta range (Košutnikov turn). The ascent from this side goes right of rock towers, following the main ridge and state border.

Birch trees need to be self reliant since they usually have no neighbouring tree species to give them shade or protection. They grow a lot faster than many other trees. But it also means that they “burnout” sooner from overtaxing their resources. In the book “The Hidden Life of Trees by Peter Wohlleben”, Peter says this, “ Birches rush through life, live beyond their means, and eventually wear themselves out.” Sounds like some people I know. Log 2.002.1: Turned out to be a planet, no signs of intelligent life at this point. That means no hope in fixing what was broken from the wormhole jump. There are some interesting plants and minerals here, and I'm pretty sure the ship can refine some of them into fuel. There is a saying that says the grass in your neighbor's garden is always greener than the grass in your own. What this means is that we often desire things that we don't have (or can't own) at the moment and forget to appreciate what is around us.
So we long for the cool winter when the heat of summer weighs heavily on us. But on a cloudy winter day we dream of warm and sunny spring again.
This focus on what could (or should) be rather than what is does not just apply to the seasons and weather. Instead, we find this in almost all areas of life, which has both positive and negative effects.
Creative and strong visions of a goal that we want to achieve and move towards make us strong, allow us to overcome difficult challenges and give us the strength to keep going even in the face of setbacks.
At the same time, however, it is important to sufficiently appreciate our past, our current life and our environment. Because this is our home port, where we find the resources we need to make our dreams come true.
As in so many areas of life, it is crucial here to find a healthy balance and to continually readjust this relationship between sticking to the usual and the urge for change.
And so with this view of a meadow strewn with cuckoo flowers, I send you a vision of the coming spring and at the same time wish you to find much beauty in the winter days that still lie ahead of us.
And this wish is of course only meant symbolically and also refers to all areas in which it is important to hold on to what is known and to make new experiences.

Dieses Fokussieren auf das was sein könnte (oder sollte) und nicht auf das, was ist, bezieht sich nicht nur auf die Jahreszeiten und das Wetter. Stattdessen finden wir dies in nahezu allen Bereichen des Lebens, was sowohl positive als auch negative Auswirkungen hat.
Kreative und starke Visionen von einem Ziel, welches wir erreichen und auf das wir uns hinbewegen wollen, macht uns stark, lässt uns auch schwierige Herausforderungen meistern und gibt uns die Kraft auch bei Rückschlägen weiter zu machen.
Gleichzeitig gilt es jedoch unsere Vergangenheit, unser momentanes Leben und unser Umfeld ausreichend wertzuschätzen. Denn das ist unser Heimathafen, in dem wir die Ressourcen finden, die wir für die Verwirklichung unserer Träume benötigen.
Wie in so vielen Bereichen im Leben ist es auch hier entscheidend, eine gesunde Balance zu finden und dieses Verhältnis zwischen dem Festhalten am Gewohnten und dem Drang nach Veränderung immer wieder neu zu justieren.
Und so sende ich Euch mit diesem Blick auf eine mit Wiesenschaumkraut übersähte Wiese eine Vision vom kommenden Frühling und wünsche Euch gleichzeitig viel Schönheit in den Wintertagen zu findet, die noch vor uns liegen.
Und auch dieser Wunsch ist natürlich nur sinnbildlich gemeint und bezieht sich ebenfalls auf alle Bereiche in denen es gilt an Bekanntem fest zu halten und neues zu Erfahren.
