This is a mandala, a symbol for movement from suffering into peace and health, for all of my Moab friends and their families as we head into a belated tourist season with a hitchhiker tourist whose unseen presence threatens us all. Stay safe and stay well.
In my pursuit of Mindfulness I make a lot of use of making and using Mandalas. I will be sharing these on here. I start with a drawing of Black and White and then use colouring them in combinations of colours that aid calm.
I am happy to supply people with a desire to colour the monochrome Mandalas for you to colour in a range of colour combinations. To request any Monochrome Mandalas to work with just contact me on my Portfolio Website Contact Page :-

Another 'Mandala' composition - this time it from a recent autumn shot of Mount Lofty Botanics.
I'm loving the details if you zoom in.
“A mandala is a spiritual and ritual symbol in Asian cultures. It can be understood in two different ways: externally as a visual representation of the universe or internally as a guide for several practices that take place in many Asian traditions, including meditation. In Hinduism and Buddhism, the belief is that by entering the mandala and proceeding towards its center, you are guided through the cosmic process of transforming the universe from one of suffering into one of joy and happiness”
"The continual stream of new discovery, revelation and inspiration which arises at every moment is the manifestation of our clarity. We should learn to see everyday life as mandala - the luminous fringes of experience which radiate spontaneously from the empty nature of our being. The aspects of our mandala are the day-to-day objects of our life experience moving in the dance or play of the universe. By this symbolism the inner teacher reveals the profound and ultimate significance of being. Therefore we should be natural and spontaneous, accepting and learning from everything. This enables us to see the ironic and amusing side of events that usually irritate us.”—Diego Khyentse RInpoche
“If you have good thoughts they will shine out of your face like sunbeams and you will always look lovely.”—Roald Dahl
“I found I could say things with color and shapes that I couldn’t say any other way—things I had no words for.”—Georgia O’Keefe
“Everybody should have his personal sounds to listen for - sounds that will make him exhilarated and alive or quite and calm.... One of the greatest sounds of them all - and to me it is a sound - is utter, complete silence.”—Andre Kostelanetz
The photo is taken through the sculpture Mandala, standing by the street Stora Nygatan in Gothenburg on the remains of the old bastion Carolus Nonus (IX) Rex from fortified Gothenburg, by the moat surrounding the old city. Beyond the sculpture is the big square Drottningtorget and Clarion Hotel Post.

This is a photo of striated coastal bedrock and a tidal pool at Mavillette Beach. The image has been copied and mirrored twice to create this Mavillette mandala. I love how the symmetrical mirroring has revealed a strong diamond shaped pattern, as well as the various pareidolia portrait entities.

- Preciso realmente disto?
Pegam os livros na estante:
- Vou ler este livro algum dia?
Olham as recordações que guardaram:
- Ainda considero importante o momento que este objeto me fez lembrar? Abrem todos os armários:
- Há quanto tempo tenho isso e não usei? Será que vou precisar mesmo? Diz o mestre:
As coisas têm energia própria.
É preciso estar atento, deixar a energia fluir livremente.

Fruit mandala.
The fruit in addition to being the quintessential dessert and to bring color and beauty to our table, the regular consumption of fruit represents in our diet a pillar of the dietary balance and the security of a correct contribution of certain vitamins.
It cannot be replaced by other more modern desserts without unbalancing our diet.
It is part of our eating behavior to eat fruit after main meals.
Peeled and chopped fruit should be consumed as soon as possible, as the taste and appearance deteriorate and the vitamin content decreases.

...Medication or Meditation?
"Practicing mindfulness meditation was shown to be as helpful for anxiety as taking a daily pill, new research shows. The first study ever to directly compare medication to meditation for anxiety finds the two methods work equally well at reducing symptoms."
