There's a lot more than museums and memorials along the National Mall; I always enjoy an early morning weekend visit before it gets too hot, crowded and parking can be found.

Rework of my 2007 picture " Mall Fireworks". Someone recently commented on the old picture, and I realized I never added it to any Flickr groups. I also realized that it was completely overdone and I didn't like it. So I reworked it the best I could, and here it is again new and improved.
And thanks to the awful Flickr map program the Newburyport picture is called Rings Island, Salisbury, MA. Google gets it right, but not Yahoo and Flickr.
During the holiday season, the Downtown Mall pedestrian zone in Charlottesville, Virginia, is decorated with a number of festive displays, including this lighted Cville topiary. Pacific Mall is an Asian shopping mall in Markham, Ontario, Canada. Opened in the mid-1990s amid a period of significant Chinese immigration to Canada, Pacific Mall is the largest indoor Asian shopping mall in North America.
