I bought my wife a kayak as a "get well" gift a few weeks back and this was her first trip with it this past Sunday. She was in a fairly serious car accident a month ago which was not her fault, but she was the one hurt and ours was the car totaled. She did things right, the car performed as it should, and she was not seriously hurt.A moment like this will hopefully drive those scary memories slowly away....

JPGroove must be cleaning out on one of their old warehouses, I noticed yesterday that they listed the old Rozen Maiden doll case on their website. I ordered a second one because I absolutely love mine, the quality is amazing. I realized I didn't really have decent pictures of mine so I took a couple of quickies.

One of the reasons I like to shoot renaissance fairs; I can still get pretty girls to smile at me.

--- Or 'Titanium Tinkerbell' (thanks, Clive!). Bishop's Castle in Shropshire is a charming market town nestled in the Shropshire Hills, known for its historic buildings and vibrant community. The town’s High Street offers a delightful mix of independent shops, including a bakery, bookshop, craft stores, and cosy cafés. With its cobbled lanes, traditional pubs, and stunning countryside views, Bishop’s Castle combines old-world character with modern rural life.

I guess it ran away from me because I haven't been a maiden for many decades. It was a surprise though, never thought I would actually see one. Perfect day for it.

Smile. This will be my first Slider's Sunday offering in many weeks. It rained all day so I was stuck indoors, and got a bit further in learning the magic of Elements 10!

Happy Slider's Sunday everyone!

The real name of Maiden's Tears is Bladder Campion. Maybe the maiden is crying at how ugly that is.

I am now selling prints online! I AM SELLING A COUPLE CLOTHING ITEMS ALSO. One is a dress used in one of my images :)

Okay so I drew this foreeevvver ( you can see my amazing drawing skills below) ago and I have been dying to shoot this but I always had trouble getting together with models. Finally Miss Courtney and I set up a time and we got it shot!

I love this theme of older times and a simpler world where love was pure and strong. In these modern times it almost seems like a joke - an experiment thrown quickly away.

I myself feel as though I am waiting for that one person.Who knows, I could be looking for a very long time but I never fully feel towards another like I should - perhaps it's a sign to keep looking.

That's one of the reasons I did last weeks image...or two weeks ago.

(Sorry about that just started college and it's been crazy!!)

And the boat is real - its a model my grandfather built many years ago :)

The Maidens Rocks are a saddle of rocks off the Antrim Coast in Northern Ireland. They sit approx 5 miles off the coast of Larne. There are 2 lighthouses - and old one and a new one - This is a shot of the new Lighthouse, taken from Larne RNLI Lifeboat during a training exercise.

So before I upload the DOZENS of other photos I took on my trip today, I need opinions:

WHICH one of these two photos should I use for my entry for the Maiden Voyage contest?

I've narrowed it down to these two, but am having a hard time deciding between them. Help please?

After I get a few opinions I'll upload the rest of the pictures. :) I just wanted to do these sepeartely so people would see them and help me pick.

The Lady In The Cruel Sea: Kangsom

-

From our series 'Island Story' - the story of a shipwreck. "Alone and stranded on tropical shores that time forgot, a beautiful Lady from Shanghai struggles for survival, with humor, charm and style. Storms, cannibals and witches - she will encounter them all!"

There are three images within this series. Here is one of the companion pieces that was shown earlier (cropped version):

What is fascinating is how sun light that travels through water and waves contorts and changes the human face, giving it a spooky effect. The images were shot seconds apart, in the open sea. On a human level, these type of shots are difficult and very challenging, especially for the model in the salty sea, and Kangsom deserves a huge round of applause. She is not a professional model - hugely impressive.

The 60 foot high Maiden Tower was built during the reign of Queen Elizabeth I (some would say hence the name 'Maiden Tower') as a beacon to aid mariners on their way into Drogheda port. It was used as a landmark to mark the mouth of the Boyne and it is said that before the river walls were constructed in 1765, when a mariner brought his ship into line with the Tower and the Lady's Finger, the course of his ship marked the precise angle necessary to cross the bar. It also served as a look-out post during the Elizabethan Wars with Spain (1585-1603) to warn of any approaching enemy ships. The tower, the top of which is reached by spiral steps, commands a most extensive look-out over land and sea. It was originally brightly coloured, making it even more conspicuous and useful to mariners. [Information from Drogheda Museum website]

UP THE IRONS!!!

A truly historic moment for Fortaleza! The greatest Metal band ever finally arrives in the city with their beautiful Ed Force One! Bringing in "The Book of Souls Tour" to Fortaleza, Mr. Bruce Dickinson arrived with style on their 747, just a few days after being completely fixed in Santiago, after an incident during a tow.

I was very lucky to be pretty close from the aircraft, it was amazing! A truly breathtaking moment as the mighty Jumbo taxied past us! The passenger terminal was chaotic, full of fans awaiting them and screaming a lot!
