Hard Magnetic Bonded Compounds
Hard Magnetic Bonded Compounds are manufactured by embedding hard magnetic powder into the thermoplastic resin, and then can be directly injected into the required product by injection molding as same as ordinary plastic particles. One of the advantages of hard magnetic bonded compounds lies in the ability to produce magnetic compound with the complex shape or thin-wall structure, it also can be used to produce magnetic compound with inserts such as axles, stainless steel bushings, rings and so on, which is suitable for mass production and can reduce the assembly cost. Meanwhile, it is possible to magnetize magnets in a variety of patterns (axial, radial, multipole, etc) by applying a magnetic field in the injection mold.

Water refracting and reflecting an image on my computer screen.
This shot is actually the background on my computer now, but only the bottom two rings of six. It's actually quite striking.
I saved these beer caps from our trip out to Montana this summer. (You can buy Moose Drool beer any where I think).
These caps had funny sayings in them which we all thought were quite amusing - well after a few of these everything is amusing.
Caps + resin + E600 glue + magnet= cool magnet.

There are like four version of X in different colors, but all come with the same X3weapons (parasite bomb, spinning blade, magnet mine and tornado fang).
This is a cool model, and my favorite weapon is the Crush Crawfish's spinning blade.
btw...did anyone ever noticed how X3 had to fish mavericks? Catfish and Crawfish...weird! Toxic Seahorse was a water creature too...

The first metalised Butterfly - with a strip of tin can incorporated inside its body - held by the magnetic applicator.

Brad left 3 different kinds of magnetic toys on my desk, so I made this out of them.
The toys are an X-Ball, a Ball of Whacks, and a set of "Buckeyballs" (spherical neodymium magnets).
The X-Ball is the least interesting toy -- you can't really make much out of it. The Ball of Whacks is ok, but still not incredibly flexible.
The Buckeyballs are the most fun, once you figure out what you can do with them. Here I've made a number of triangles, each consisting of 9 balls. These were then assembled into tetrahedrons which were in turn assembled into a stellated tetrahedron (minus one point, which would be on the bottom). I think I may have had some extra lines of balls in there forming the edges between the tetrahedrons.
I got this baking sheet at the dollar store and I am using it to display the magnets I got in different swaps.
