Each magnet is an original pencil illustration and painted with acrylic paint. Non-toxic coating gives a nice shiny raised surface. A large strong magnet is fixed onto the back with industrial glue.

Glass marbles, draw on with sharpie, dab globs of nailpolish - don't brush, it'll streak - let dry and add magnet!
Just to play with I bought some rare earth magnets from a Chinese company. They were so cheap as to be essentially free but they are so strong to be almost unbelievable.
This is a stack of three different sizes. If I try to take even the small diameter magnets and try to pull them apart, I can't. Really! And I'm pretty strong. And the large ones? Forget it!
This is a little magnet I made to go along with a gift card for my cousin who's getting married in a couple of weeks. The text is from a vintage (1930s) book on etiquette. I love the book. Every time I crack it open, I read something that makes me laugh.

These magnets are made from polymer clay and painted with acrylic paints. The jelly on some of them is made with triple thick glaze mixed with dust from chalk pastels to give it its color. All of them have magnet tape on the back that I have glued for extra hold. I need to start pairing them off and selling them on my etsy account before my entire fridge looks like this.
