DEU: Zum CSD und zum Marathon werden die Innenstadtlinien stark verkürzt, was bei M48, M85, M46 und 187 dazu führt, dass diese nur bis Dominicusstraße/ Hauptstraße fahren und dann Albertstraße und Eisenacher Straße an der Verkehrsinsel seeeehr scharf wenden und Aufstellung entlang der Hauptstraße nehmen.
Blick durch das Baumgewölbe der Eisenacher Straße auf die Hauptstraße. Beschildert ist noch die grad abgeschlossene Fahrt.
Warum die BVG auf den umliegenden Haltestellen an den Infosäulen Fahrten nach S+U Hauptbahnhof und U Turmstraße ankündigt und die Fahrgäste einfach mal so richtig doof stehen lässt, bleibt wohl ihr Geheimnis.
ENG: During the CSD and the marathon, the city centre lines of Berlin are significantly shortened, which means that the M48, M85, M46 and M187 only run as far as Dominicusstraße/ Hauptstraße and then make a very sharrrp turn at the traffic island at Albertstraße and Eisenacher Straße and line up along Hauptstraße.
View through the tree arch of Eisenacher Straße onto Hauptstraße. The journey that has just been completed is still signposted.
Why the BVG announces journeys to S+U Hauptbahnhof and U Turmstraße on the information pillars at the surrounding stops and simply leaves passengers standing there looking stupid remains a mystery.

El M48 Patton es un tanque de guerra, tercer tanque medio de la serie Patton, que recibieron este nombre por el General George S. Patton, comandante del Tercer Ejército estadounidense durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial y uno de los militares estadounidenses que abogaba por el empleo de tanques de guerra en el campo de batalla.
El M48 A3 nace en 1959, se le añade un motor AVDS-1790 de gasoil, una nueva cubierta de motor y un sistema de tiro mejorado.
Utilizado principalmente como apoyo de la infantería, el M48A3 fue el tanque de batalla principal de Estados Unidos en Vietnam al principio de la guerra, y de Vietnam del Sur casi hasta el final.
Las anchas orugas del M48A3 le dieron buena movilidad fuera de las carreteras, pero el lodo de los terrenos de Vietnam no lo favoreció. Su poca profundidad de remolque y y su peso limitaba su empleo.
Disponía de un kit que permitía al tanque vadear ríos de hasta 4 metros de profundidad, pero rara vez se usaba.

Jones-Emberson 1 (PK 164 + 31,1), également connue sous le nom de nébuleuse du casque, est une nébuleuse planétaire de 14ème magnitude dans la constellation du Lynx à une distance de 1600 années-lumière. C'est un planétaire plus grand avec une faible luminosité de surface. L'étoile centrale de magnitude 16,8 est une naine blanche très bleue.

Former London Transport MCW Metrobus M48 has been located near the Cambridgeshire Village of Thorney since leaving London service. It was converted into a model railway internally.
The inaugural Severn Bridge Rally took place yesterday (31/08/2025) at the former Aust Services on what is now the M48 which overlooks the first Severn Bridge. A fairly low-key event this one which nevertheless attracted 41 buses and coaches ranging from a 1940 (with 1950 body) Bristol L to a 71-plate Enviro400 MMC. There was a display area along with 30 free bus rides running every 15 mins out to places such as Chepstow, Olveston, Severn Beach Station and a Two Bridges Tour. These services utilised the 16 coach drop off bays of the former motorway services which was relocated when the second bridge opened in 1996. A great day despite the mixed weather!
Trolleybus route 605 was replaced by motor bus route 285 in May 1962, which extended beyond the wired route. By 19 April 1980 it was running between Heathrow Airport and New Malden. M48 (an MCW Metrobus) was one year old when seen here at the New Malden stand.
This M60 features the upgraded wheels and return rollers of my M48, additional ERA, a more sturdy mount for the drive sprockets and new headlight mounts. Overall I'm very pleased with the model, my biggest complaint is that lego doesn't make enough parts in tan, as it would be infinitely better if most of it was in tan. My 2nd complaint is the gaps, but there isn't really a feasible way to remove them so I left them on.

Jupiter est à -13°22' de déclinaison, c'est à dire dans les arbres vu de mon observatoire. je n'ai que 15 min. entre 2 arbres pour faire les réglages et 3 films de 1000 images. L'année prochaine me sera plus favorable.
NGC 7023, aussi nommée Caldwell 4 et la nébuleuse de l'Iris, c'est une nébuleuse par réflexion dans la constellation de Céphée. Elle est située à 1300 années-lumière de la Terre.

The Severn Bridge, completed in 1966, spans the River Severn and River Wye between Aust, South Gloucestershire in England, and Chepstow, Monmouthshire in South East Wales, via Beachley, Gloucestershire, which is a peninsula between the two rivers. It is the original Severn road crossing between England and Wales. Here it is photographed from Severn View Services at its English end.
Since the completion of the Second Severn Crossing in 1996, this crossing is only of secondary importance.
After 52 years, tolls on the bridge were scrapped in December 2018, and some furniture associated with works to remove toll-related infrastructure can be seen in the front-centre of the shot.
