This was taken about a month ago when some lucky photobloggers had the possibility to visit the building site of the new Danube bridge near Budapest. Thanks to methan for the opportunity!

The M1 modernization set out to resolve the M0’s shortcomings. The overall empty weight was reduced by three tons. The aerodynamics of the aircraft were improved, the design of the intake vents was completed, and the wingspan was increased by 1.5 m (5 ft), and the braking parachute moved to the lower part of the fuselage. The inline cockpit arrangement of the Blinder was switched to a side-by-side cockpit layout for the pilot and co-pilot (a new addition in the Tu-22M) upfront and the weapons system officer and navigator behind.
The M1 variant also received updated NK-144-22 engines and on 28 July 1971 flight test began. The engines still underperformed. By the end of 1972, nine Backfire-A aircraft were built and handed over for testing and evaluation. While there were some improvements, overall, the basic flight characteristics were unsatisfactory and serial production did not begin. In this image, one of the few Soviet Naval Aviation Backfire-As that remains is located at Riga Aviation Museum at the Riga airport in Latvia. It sits outside on a disused taxi ramp, exposed to the Baltic weather that has worn away its paint scheme. The exposed metal fuselage is now rusting and growing moss, which I tried to capture in this image using different brick and plate colours.

This was taken of clams along the shoreline area around the marina in Tofino at low tide.

Ma nagyot kirándultunk Esztergomba, hiszen az M0 és a Megyeri híd átadása miatt már nem három óra Gödöllőről az odaút, hanem csak egyetlen, ami már egészen kibírható. Felmentünk a várba, a bazilikához, át a Mária Valéria hídon Párkányba, ott legurítottunk egy pohár sört, majd haza. Elég sokat gyalogoltunk, így nagyon elfáradtam, már tegnap este is az voltam és sajnos ma is hajnali hatkor már kelni kellett. Szóval lassan húzok is aludni. :) De most ezt a városképet hoztam nektek.
Bori szavaival mondva lecápáztam a várost. Ez annyit tesz, hogy halszemmel sok képet csináltam róla. :)
És sajnos nem tudtam ProFik próbára menni, elnézést az érintettektől, főleg Nóritól.
