I was sat in my van with the door open when this little squirrel came to call so I did the decent thing and gave it a piece of my sandwich.
The pick up truck has brought the Reedsburg Rockets crew back to its train after having lunch. The crew is back on board and departing Reedsburg for Madison.The train would get as far as Baraboo before the sun set. Maybe this truck will look cool in 20 years, like all the older MOW trucks do today.
My Dad took this shot of Extra 712 West at Newberry on August 16, 1986. Lighting was poor but I thought it was pretty neat after looking at it awhile with the Conductor heading for the power with a lunch to go for his crew from Timber Charlie's Restaurant & Bar which is just west of the M-123 crossing that's behind Dad in this shot. 712 and 4418 have 13 cars and will soon be off for the next stop which appears to be Munising Junction by the trains make up. Much work done in Lightroom/Photoshop to bring this Thirty Thursday submission.

52 in 2025 Challenge
I made the meal especially for the dogs, it's raw meat mixed with rice and carrots. Gaia ate hers when I first took pictures of her alone so there is only one meal left. Harry didn't want to come to the studio first. I think he remembered that last time the wooden window fell on him. No injuries but now he's afraid. He doesn't forget bad stuff ! My dogs have to look at me before they are allowed to eat so it was easy to get their looks.
This little wren was very industrious, hunting dragonflies for her young among the elephant leaves at Mount Stewart National Trust in Northern Ireland.

We had lunch here, in a second-growth forest. There are not so many primeval (old-growth) forests in the Smokies, which were mostly logged over before becoming a national park.
Right after lunch we reached the Albright Grove, one of those primeval forests. You can see the difference.
The Albright Grove is a reasonable day hike, but not for everyone. One old-growth forest is easy to reach, just beyond a popular site.
