After a 14 hour flight from Vancouver we used Auckland's excellent public transit from the airport to the city centre Britomart station transit hub.
Its name was taken from a Royal Navy gunship, HMS Britomart, the first English vessel to carry out a detailed survey of the Waitematā Harbour in 1841.

Site seeing on foot in Bologna's historic centre is thirsty work, so time to stop for a brew at Baladin, Via Clavature, 12.
I went for a Sidro cider. Was OK
Birrificio Baladin is one of the pioneers in the craft brewing industry and one of the most successful craft beer brands in Italy.
They opened a pub focused on beer in Piemonte, outside of Turin, in the 1980s. In 1996, they started producing their own beer, so the beer pub became a brewpub.
Over the years, their beer line expanded as did their footprint in Italy. Part of their success came from their relationship with Eataly, including a location in Eataly World outside of Bologna.
In Bologna historic centre Baladin is located in the Mercato di Mezzo.

I'm not much for singing anywhere other than the shower or the car with the radio up really loud but when I'm a beautiful location that I didn't have to hike to and monsoon like conditions like this light up the sky, I will sing and set the camera up as quickly as possible.
I walk by my favourite building on Srathcona's Heatley Street at least twice a week. It might be my favourite Strathcona building or high on the list. Click, click.
The building was sold a couple of years ago and the new owners updated the building curb appeal.

Die Einfahrt des Konstanzer Dampferhafens war bis zu seinem Ausbau im Jahre 1838 durch das sogenannte "Lukenhäusle" markiert. Das Holzbollwerk war auf ca. 20 m in den Seegrund, auf dem das Gebäude stand, war auf ca. 20 in den Seegrund gerammten Pfählen errichtet worden und diente neben seiner Funktion als Leuchtturm, auch dem Turmwächter und seiner Familie als Wohnunterkunft.
Der im Jahre 1842 aus Sandstein erbaute 18 Meter hohe Leuchtturm Konstanz wurde bei der Neugestaltung der Hafenanlagen 1890 um die beiden oberen Etagen abgetragen. Auf diesem Unterbau erhielt der Turm die heute noch vorhandene Eisenkonstruktion.

Nicht weit entfernt vom Marktplatz befindet sich der Schuhhof, der älteste Platz in Goslar. Ihn umrahmen stattliche Fachwerkhäuser und die Arkaden des Schuhmacher-Gildehauses. Die Erstehung der Häuser aus den ehemaligen schmalen Marktbuden ist noch heute zu erkennen.
Not far from the market square is the Schuhhof, the oldest square in Goslar. It is surrounded by stately half-timbered houses and the arcades of the shoemaker's guild hall. The emergence of the houses from the former narrow market stalls can still be seen today.
