Back in February we hiked (tramped) the Hump Ridge Track which is at the very southern end of the South Island of New Zealand. We didn't have the best weather but it was moody! This was along the beach on the first day.

Der Kehrwiederturm in der Hildesheimer Keßlerstraße ist der letzte erhaltene der ursprünglich vier Türme der Hildesheimer Stadtbefestigung. Der aus Bruchsteinen erbaute Wehrturm hieß zunächst Honser Tor nach dem in der Nähe gelegenen Dorf Hohnsen.

Back in October, we spent three nights in the Grampians National Park (Gariwerd). The longest and best walk we did was from Halls Gap to The Pinnacle via Mackeys Peak and return via Silent Street, Grand Canyon and down Stony Creek. The geology of the region is fascinating and is 500-400 millions years old.
