Das Kaufhaus Görlitz, auch Zum Strauss und Warenhaus Görlitz genannt, ist ein denkmalgeschütztes Gebäude in Görlitz, das im Stil des Historismus erbaut und mit Elementen des Jugendstils geschmückt wurde.
Als Jugendstil-Warenhaus „Zum Strauss“ vom jüdischen Kaufmann Louis Friedländer nach dem Vorbild des Berliner Kaufhauses Wertheim erbaut, ist das Görlitzer Kaufhaus das einzige seiner Epoche, das noch heute in seiner ursprünglichen bautechnischen Form existiert. Das Gebäude beeindruckt vor allem durch seine kolossale Innenarchitektur.

Kersey is a village and civil parish in the Babergh district in Suffolk, in the east of England. The main street has a ford across a stream. Its principal claim to fame is that a coarse woollen cloth called Kersey cloth takes its name from it. The latest Masterpiece Theater “ Magpie Murders” was filmed at this very location. When I saw the scene the actors were having a drink outside this The Bell Pub, I knew I have been here before 😉 naturally the location’s name was changed in the movie and the pub’s also to Queen’s Pub.

Designated a World Heritage Site in 1984, Yosemite is internationally recognized for its cliffs, waterfalls, clear streams, giant sequoia groves, lakes, mountains, meadows, glaciers, and biological diversity. Almost 95 percent of the park is designated wilderness. Yosemite is one of the largest and least fragmented habitat blocks in the Sierra Nevada, and the park supports a diversity of plants and animals. The word Yosemite (meaning "killer" in Miwok) historically referred to the name that the Miwok gave to the Ahwahneechee People, an Indigenous tribe driven out of Yosemite Valley by the Mariposa Battalion. Previously, the region had been called "Ahwahnee" ("big mouth") by its only Indigenous inhabitants, the Ahwahneechee. The term Yosemite in Miwok is easily confused with a similar term for "grizzly bear", and is still a common misconception. Wikiwand.

Das Schraube Museum in Halberstadt zeigt Wohnkultur der Jahrhundertwende 19/20 Jahrhundert! Es ist das kleinste Museum in der Stadt, dennoch reizvoll. Bis 1980 lebte in diesen Räumen Margarete Schraube, deren Familie einst ein Wäschegeschäft und eine Blaufärberei auf diesem Grundstück betrieben.

Friedrichstadt (dänisch: Frederiksstad, friesisch: Fräärstää) ist eine Stadt in Schleswig-Holstein. Die im Süden des Kreises Nordfriesland liegende Stadt wurde 1621 für niederländische Glaubensflüchtlinge gegründet. Sie brachten die Architektur aus ihrer Heimat mit.
Dank der holländischen Architektur wird das "Holländerstädtchen" heute gern besucht.
