My mother gave me these tiny cat ceramic figurines, which her mother gave to her. A beautiful pair handed down through generations. If you look closely you can see the chips and wear and tear from time.

This image is an example of low-key because the key light shining on part of the wall and the rest of the image being dark gave focus to the part with the light shining on it. Also the closer parts of the image are in more focus than the parts closer away.

To produce this image I used a higher shutter speed to darken the image and acquire more detail. I took this image in the shadow area to reduce shadows. I also liked the point of view from the sidewalk, it looks cool in the image and directs you to the kid.
