Crocus is a genus in the iris family. Crocuses are native to woodland, scrub and meadows from sea level to alpine tundra in central and southern Europe, North Africa and the Middle East, on the islands of the Aegean, and across Central Asia to western China. Often regarded in Europe as a sign of the spring. For thos who forgotten that the spice Saffron is derived from the flower of Crocus sativus, commonly known as the saffron crocus.

Not quite pushing up daisies — more like lying among them and letting the world drift by. I dropped to the ground to shoot this from the daisies’ point of view, wanting to celebrate their cheerful sprawl across the lawn. The low angle exaggerates their presence, turning a humble patch of grass into a wildflower field fit for daydreams. Sometimes, all it takes is changing your perspective — and not minding a few grass stains.
The rain hasn't stopped and the mud puddles are getting bigger and deeper. A view of my New Rock shoes in the mud.
