The Lord frustrates the plans of the nations

and thwarts all their schemes.

But the Lord’s plans stand firm forever;

his intentions can never be shaken.

[Psalm 33:10-11 NLT]

5 THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW:

1. Like it or not, we are ALL sinners: As the Scriptures say, “No one is righteous—not even one. No one is truly wise; no one is seeking God. All have turned away; all have become useless. No one does good, not a single one.” (Romans 3:10-12 NLT)

2. The punishment for sin is death: When Adam sinned, sin entered the world. Adam’s sin brought death, so death spread to everyone, for everyone sinned. (Romans 5:12 NLT)

3. Jesus is our only hope: But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. (Romans 5:8 NLT) For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 6:23 NLT)

4. SALVATION is by GRACE through FAITH in JESUS: God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. (Ephesians 2:8-10 NLT)

5. Accept Jesus and receive eternal life: If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. (Romans 10:9 NLT) But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God. (John 1:12 NLT) And this is what God has testified: He has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have God’s Son does not have life. (1 John 5:11-12 NLT)

Read the Bible for yourself. Allow the Lord to speak to you through his Word. YOUR ETERNITY IS AT STAKE!

We are immersed in "Ganesh Chaturthi", a festival to celebrate Lord Ganesh Birth. The festival finishes with the immersion of Lord Ganesh´s idols in the water or "VISARJAN". Being Ganesh the God of New Beginnings and the Remover of Obstacles, during the Visarjan He is detached from his solid "envelop" and starts the way back to Mount Kailash, to his house, with his parents, taking with him sorrows and misfortunes of his followers; but his spirit remains in the hearts of the devotees and enriches their lives till next year, when he will come back, starting again with the eternal cycle of birth, death and rebirth or SAMSARA.

Today we saw some medium size idols. Everything has been prepared by the communities, from artisans to collectors of money to priests and to the young fishermen that go to the water to help with the Visarjan itself... It is a moment of faith and joy and color and laugh, and we were really moved by the way they welcomed us...

Looking out toward Southport's Lord Street.

The Atkinson is Southport’s beautiful new home for music, theatre, art, poetry, literature and history, right in the middle of Lord Street in Southport and just 3 minutes’ walk from Southport train station.

Significant investment has been made in refurbishing the stunning 19th century buildings, to create a really welcoming multi art-form venue with a strong contemporary feel.

Roads go ever ever on,

Over rock and under tree,

By caves where never sun has shone,

By streams that never find the sea;

Over snow by winter sown,

And through the merry flowers of June,

Over grass and over stone,

And under mountains in the moon.
