Final entry from my shots of Dale Chihuly's work. This part of a 14 foot maze of wonder in Palm Springs Art Museum. For pure fun with color and form I can think of now one better then this one eyed wonder from Washington State.
Just about anything and everything being thrown into use here, Bluestar trainer B7 out in service, coaches on school runs and a mix of Scanias and Volvo B7s all in other operators liveries.
This is ex GNE Scania carries branding for the 'loop', not the easier colour black to photograph at the best of times!
The location is Ham a large post-war council estate, not that you would know it from this shot.
Nice that this bank of trees and grass was left after development, they would never build new estates like that now!
I went out to try and take some self portraits to put on my website today. I got a few OK ones, but they all (I think) a bit boring... Just plain poses... Nothing exciting.
As soon as I looked at this one on my camera screen, I liked it. I don't know why - it's an awkward angle and I missed half of my face! The light on my face isn't as good as it could be. It highlights the fact that my face never tans as good as my arms and legs!
Anyway, I thought this was a bit more interesting and the strange angles of my arms and legs kinda highlight the fact that I am not a person to sit still - I'm a bit loopy, energetic and kinda eccentric! So this self portrait is me. I don't care if you like it or not today, because I do!
And I am all I can be.... me.
For Our Daily Challenge (4th May 11), "song lyrics" - "To be yourself is all that you can do" from "Be Yourself" by Audioslave. I have no idea what any of their other songs are - I have this song on a compilation album from a few years ago.
PS, my dad still calls me "loops" and has done since I was a kid, short for "loopy lou"!

loopy lupins as I like to call them. Took for ever and a day to get this shot and still not totally happy with it but hey ho that's how it goes some days.
Flickr seems to be working once again although I very nearly didn't get logged back in. Funny how much you miss something when it has gone. mind you most of the girls who were here are now over on Instagram, problem is it tend to connect with people outside our group in that word. Hopefully we will still have a vibrant community here on flickr
A revolution in the London Transport bus network or a rebranding exercise? Perhaps we shall see after the full implementation of the new 'Superloop' orbital London bus network. Essentially outer London limited stop X bus routes joined up. This is route SL9, Heathrow Airport to Harrow, formally the X140, as an Alexander Dennis Enviro 400 City EV is pictured about to enter Harrow Bus Station.
I finally finished the African Violets batt from Loop that I started back in September. Yes, you read right, September. This skein is 4.3 oz., about 220 yards, single sport weight and very consistent.
"7 Days of Shooting" "Week #39" "Flowers" "Thoroughly Abstract Thursday"
These Grevillea flowers are beautiful and they are even better up really close. I took lots of macro shots of this flower and now I cant decide on my favourite. I will add more later.
A major restructuring of routes took place in Medway from Sunday 12th July 2015 with routes 113, 114 and 116 being merged together to form a new LOOP service. There are actually four LOOP services, Purple & Yellow LOOP runs anticlockwise and Blue & Red LOOP runs clockwise with Yellow & Red running via Wigmore and Blue & Purple running via Parkwood.
Wearing branding which was amended for the new LOOP service, ARRIVA Kent & Surrey 1652 KX61 LFP is seen on Brompton Road between Brompton and Gillingham whilst working the Blue LOOP service. Friday 2nd October 2015

This is a great tree! If you are a kid, this has to be one of the best trees for climbing. The limbs are thick and will support all types of weight. The other thing about the limbs is they seem to grow out and then loop towards the ground making it easy to get a start on the climb.
