El sentido del humor del maestro. Durante la filmación del "Sabio de Los Andes", y para conversar del futuro nos llevó a la chacarita de Mendoza, donde van a parar todas las maquinarias en desuso.
Me quedé pensando que había algo más en ese gesto... como si estuviera diciendo: "un nuevo mundo futuro parte del fracaso, de los deshechos, no del exito, de la modernidad".

The master´s touch, his sense of humor. To talk about the future he took us to a huge junkyard in Mendoza, where all the machines rust away. I kept thinking that there was something more in that.... as if he were saying: "a new future world takes off from failure, not from success"....

I wanted to write a story like Jumanji but I wanted it to be about the body. So I named it JUBODY. My story is about three kids who get sucked into a book and they have to get out by looking for part of the body and by looking within.
La sala era grande y suntuosa, era dificil comunicarnos. Cuando Silo llegó, habló en una voz muy baja y un tono muy suave. Para escucharlo tuvimos que acercarnos y al acercarnos cambió el tono, la afectividad. Entonces él hizo una ceremonia de imposicion que nadie de los presentes podrá olvidar jamás.

The room was large and sumptuous, it was hard to communicate. When Silo entered, he spoke very softly and in a gentle way. To hear what he was saying we had to come closer and when we gathered closely the general tone became very affectionate. Then he did a ceremony of imposition which none of those present will ever forget.

I wrote this piece to express my feelings about life and growing up. Each year seems so influential, so relevant, but when you take the time to reflect, to really look within your past, it's all a blur. As a kid, this is especially true, as you quickly mature and your perspective widens to fit the real world. Essentially, this can be summed up in the popular expression "Through the looking-glass" - which means a strange, parallel world (in this case, a child's life) - hence the piece's title. You grow up so fast your own reflection may be a stranger.
