A very small grey cricket wanted to know what it's like when the world is blue........, so I made her request with pleasure ;-)

The technique was later popularised in the Ming period and spread to Japan and Korea. Typically the knots are crafted using a single strand of thread.
This image is the detail from part of a pair of very old tassels (likely scroll weight tassels) - each one about 2ft in length.

Nach den süßen Kirschen haben wir ein Tellerchen rote Johannisbeeren geerntet. Herrlich, in den Garten zu gehen und etwas Essbares zum Naschen zu finden :)
After loads of sweet cherries from our tree this year we had two handfuls of 'Wimmelchen'. Going into the garden for a sweet treat, heavenly :)
