Salt on small saucer on white board!

For Looking close……on Friday! Theme - White on White.

I received a few strange looks yesterday at the supermarket!

I took the scoop, usually full of cherries, to isolate just a single one. Then I had to position the scoop in such a way that the handle was supported to enable me to get in there and get the shot! This is the result.

… guess it is necessary from time to time. Who would want the alternative?

Aufgegabelt und blutend. Zum Glück nur eine Frucht.

Yippie – I'm back home! And still I do not look back on the beautiful holidays with a bleeding heart. And what can I say, the fruits are red and ripe ;-) and there is a lot to do – not only with the ripe fruits ... But when I looked for a short moment after the topic for today's Macro Monday, I could not resist and had to take a picture first ;-)

/

I wish you a wonderful and happy Monday evening! And a Friday evening too :-)

There were so many cherries this year!

The birds and the squirrels had quite a lot, but they left quite a bit for us. Yummi ;)

This Gaillarda has BIG flowers, the biggest is 15 cm across ! It also has a lot of flowers.

To be honest, I like the flower in colour better :)

Ett trasigt glas i ett gammalt fönster på den riktigt gamla ladan. A broken glass in an old window of the really old barn.

#Lookingclose...onFriday! #Damaged

Pretty nice theme for this week. We do have so much things that get broken sooner or later. Damage also happens in Nature.

Damage is any change in a thing, often a physical object, that degrades it away from its initial state. It can broadly be defined as "changes introduced into a system that adversely affect its current or future performance". Damage "does not necessarily imply total loss of system functionality, but rather that the system is no longer operating in its optimal manner". Damage to physical objects is "the progressive physical process by which they break", and includes mechanical stress that weakens a structure, even if this is not visible.

Autumn, also known as Fall in American English and Canadian English, is one of the four temperate seasons. Outside the tropics, autumn marks the transition from summer to winter, in September (Northern Hemisphere) or March (Southern Hemisphere). Autumn is the season when the duration of daylight becomes noticeably shorter and the temperature cools considerably. Day length decreases and night length increases as the season progresses until the Winter Solstice in December (Northern Hemisphere) and June (Southern Hemisphere). One of its main features in temperate climates is the striking change in colour for the leaves of deciduous trees as they prepare to shed.

Today I had two pro photographer friends come join me in my garden to talk tech tips. They were the ones who helped me get started on “in camera” multiple exposures so I practiced more. These Ornamental Grasses were swaying in the light breeze we had and that added a nice effect of movement to this triple exposure. After taking several images within my garden, we sat under a shaded canopy to simply “ shoot the breeze” about this and that. Some of the talk was photography related and some not. For the theme “Grasses” in the group Looking Close…on Friday!
