Jeff and I ran various errands in the early part of the day— returning empties, cashing in our points at the grocery store ($90 of free food!), buying beer. Ate leftover nachos for lunch, then drove to Maple Ridge for Alice's going-away dinner. She's going to work at Disney World again (she applied and was approved for work before the election, otherwise she says she definitely would NOT be going). We ate a lot of snacks, drank wine, laughed a lot, insulted each other. Two kinds of pasta for dinner, cheesecake for dessert, and two hilarious games of Monikers that kept us out past midnight (look, it's an hour drive from home and I go to bed at 10:30 every day). I will miss Alice very much, but at least it's only a year. Please let her be happy and safe in Florida.
