Long Lost is a novel by Harlan Coben. It is the latest (ninth) novel in his series of a crime solver and sports agent named Myron Bolitar. I've never really cared much for Myron - I have always had a very strong preference for Coben's stand alone books.
In Long Lost Myron visits Paris (France), London (UK), Ho-Ho-Kus (NJ), the Mark Twain library (Redding, CT) and a re-education camp (location unknown) where he is twilight-sleeped. Stem-cell research (ala Doctor Mengele and The Boys From Brazil) is one of the central themes of this book.
Coben is currently writing his 10th stand-alone thriller - Caught - to be published March 2010.
Harlan Coben (born January 4, 1962) is an American author of mystery novels and thrillers. The plots of his novels often involve the resurfacing of unresolved or misinterpreted events in the past (such as murders, fatal accidents, etc.) and often have multiple plot twists. Both series of Coben's books are set in and around New York and New Jersey, and some of the supporting characters in the two series have appeared in both.
This gull was less than two meters away from me, and seemed completely unaffected by my presence and the constant sound from my camera.
I got a lot of good shots of him/her, but I liked this one best. The look towards the horizon added a gentle kind of personality. Gulls are often seen as rude and a nuisance, and I took the opportunity to portrait a different side.
This gull at least, was well-mannered.

I've had the little creamer for quite some time now, all alone and forlorn. On Saturday, we found her longlost sugar bowl, although they may be distant cousins as one is marked Corning, the other Pyrex. But they still make a mighty cute couple if you ask me!

Sheffield artist Jason Turpin Thomson carved in polystyrene and then cast this fantasy iron chair .Sited on a crumbling weir in the middle of the River Rivelin-it could have grown in this beautiful, post industrial, Sheffield Valley. An ode to the longlost bodgers, coppice workers and steel workers of the Rivelin Valley.
Roots of Iron project officer for Sheffield City Council Catherine Nuttgens said”I wanted something that would encourage quiet reflection and appreciation of the River Rivelin, whilst echoing the woodland heritage and industrial architecture that can be observed all along the river’s banks.”
