OK, it is a firework launcher, so much fun.

Ah, the wife... She's not wielding a chainsaw here; she's just standing. The hole she's standing in came from the roots that were ripped up when the tree fell. Another tree is fallen just beyond and above her head. The rootball is the whole right quarter of the photo.
