Tina Proulx, group leader of the advocate group `Ottawa Gift of Life' is one of the 10 inspiring individuals to be awarded the CBC Ottawa Trailblazer award, for making an impact in their communities. Tina has been recognized for her efforts and contribution as an organ and tissue donation advocate.

We were hired by BBC Earth to produce a series of three animations to accompany a longform article on the Origins of Life. As this was quite a technical article, the videos were to provide some visual relief, explaining some of the complex concepts more clearly. This still shows RNA, and how it codes for proteins, which are essential for life. In the primordial soup, it may have been the first carrier of genetic information, as it is able to store information, replicated and catalyse reactions.
Let’s See What happens is longform improv comedy. Each month has a new monologist that will create a monologue based on an audience’s suggestion. The cast will then use this monologue as a starting point to create a montage of many scenes. There was a very nice article called Out in the Great Alone, seen on Longform, the story of the Iditarod held in March 2013.
So i mapped the starting (Anchorage) and end (Nome) points in Google Maps and there was no way to get from one place to the other :-)
Remember reading about the gold that was found lying on the beaches of Nome in that monster Alaska by James A. Michener.
