Oh, look at this gem I snapped in the heart of London—where Bart Simpson and a classic red double-decker bus decided to photobomb each other! In the background, there’s Bart, up to his usual mischief, scribbling “I WILL NOT MISS SEASON 36!” over and over on a giant blackboard, advertising The Simpsons’ latest season on Disney+. I mean, if Bart’s that desperate not to miss it, maybe I should set a reminder too—Season 36 sounds like a big deal! But honestly, I’m just picturing Bart sneaking into London, spray-painting blackboards, and then running off to grab a fish and chips while Marge yells at him from Springfield.
Meanwhile, the iconic red heritage bus in the foreground is just minding its own business, proudly rolling through the streets like it owns the place. I bet the driver saw Bart’s billboard and thought, “Blimey, even cartoon kids are obsessed with streaming these days!” Maybe the bus is on its way to pick up some Simpsons fans for a proper London tour—imagine Homer trying to squeeze into the top deck, shouting “D’oh!” every time they hit a speed bump. Anyway, this clash of Springfield chaos and London charm made my day—hope it tickles your funny bone too!

flickr Photowalk #17 Crouch End & Ally Pally. The view from the terrace of Ally Pally across London - a distance of approximately 11 kilometres. The spire on the left is that of St Mary's Church, Stoke Newington, whilst the roads running up towards Canary Wharf are Uplands, Denton and Mayfield Roads, Stationers Park, Hornsey Vale. The large older building with many dormer windows (bottom right) is Kitchener House in Hillfield Avenue, Hornsey. Built as Carleton House at the end of the Victorian era, it was converted in 1918 to a Home for Boys for the Waifs and Strays Society. It has now been converted into apartments, is locally listed, and confusingly has had a new build block of flats built in the grounds which have taken the original name of Carleton House.

Another shot from the 2018 Photo 24 London event. If you look back through my stream you’ll see various shots of this bridge; its one of my favourite locations in London and I'm always looking for different perspectives
Opened in June 2002 this architectural marvel, which resembles a dinosaur skeleton, was shut almost immediately after an unexpected swaying motion set in when participants of a charity walk tried to open it. Londoners nicknamed it the 'wobbly bridge'. It didn't re-open for a further two years while modifications were made to eliminate the problem, (huge steel dampers were added to the structure).
The bridge crosses the Thames in front of St Paul's Cathedral and was the subject of a competition organised by Southwark Council & RIBA Competitions. The winning entry was an innovative "blade of light" effort from Arup, Foster & Partners and Sir Anthony Caro.
7 shot, tripod supported, hdr (+3 to -3) with pp in acr, photomatix, photoshop, topaz de-noise. Fuji X-T2 with Fuji 14mm f2.8 @ f7.1, ISO 640, average exposure 8 sec's.
I love living in Woolwich with all it's cultural diversity, rich history & ability to rise again through the difficulties of the past.
I'm obviously biased but you can keep your famous landmark views of London, this is our view of London, a South East London, Woolwich view.
Thank you for all the support & friendship throughout the year. You are an extremely talented inspirational bunch...I wish you all a very Merry Christmas & a Happy & peaceful New Year.
I've shot this bridge on many occasions. Tonight it looked completely different. Gone were the blue neon lights and in its place clinical white lighting which gave it a whole new look and feel. In addition St Pauls Cathedral wasn't lit up like a Christmas tree like it usually is so it too had a more subdued look.

First and foremost I'd like to wish anyone taking the time to read this post a Happy New Year! Let's hope 2016 is another great one.
London is my home town. I was born in Bexley one of its suburbs many moons ago. Even though I now live in the surrounding countryside I never lose the thrill of visit the capital. I took this shot on Westminster Bridge on a photo walk back in June 2015. The lighting columns are very ornate as you'd expect next to the Houses of Parliament and give off a gorgeous light when lit. In the background sits the London Eye. Strange to think it started its life as a temporary structure. Now it's rightfully taken its place as one of London's many iconic landmarks. The views from it are spectacular especially at dusk.
Did anyone spot the cup on the lighting column. No, neither did I until I started processing this photo. Blumin McDonalds rubbish gets everywhere. I'd love to return it to its owner, preferably through their letterbox.
Tripod mounted, 6 exposure hdr -2 to +3, with a further 3 brackets created off the-2 exposure to try and rescue the overblown lamps. Pp with acr, photomatix, photoshop, & topaz clarity. Image selectively sharpened . Fuji X-E2 with 18-55 f2.8-4 at 18mm, f9, ISO 800 exposure 0.3 - 10 sec's.
A long exposure shot of Westminster and the iconic Big Ben, captured from the South Bank across the River Thames. The vibrant lights and smooth reflections in the water evoke the timeless beauty of London, blending the city's historic architecture with its modern vibrancy.

Taken from a window seat on approach to London Heathrow. Despite the clouds, you can see the London Eye, Waterloo Bridge, Hungerford and Jubilee Bridges, Westminster Bridge, Lambeth Bridge, and Vauxhall Bridge along with the BT Tower, Westminster Abbey, and Westminster Palace (Parliament) with Big Ben under repair.
