The Logitech box, an Audiostation Express, was originally sitting on a chest of drawers by the front door. I eventually got tired of changing the rechargeables all the time (the d@mn thing doesn't like the relatively low voltage of rechargables so it refuses to use them after 1-2 hours play time) but the only power point in this 1980's hallway is on a corner wall.
I had a spare Ikea Stolmen upright after I dismantled part of a ceiling-high system of cat shelves which the cats had given up using.
The Audiostation Express has a remote which makes it easy enough to control from below.
