...this was part of some fun log sections on the sunday ride.

This large piece was balanced like a seesaw on that smaller piece. Here I used my weight to keep Gerald's end up while he cut it.

I saw a beautiful pix by Sawyers Nana and I spent all day trying to duplicate it....not as small or perfect as hers,but considering there was MATH involved,not bad! LOL

Logging had been happening at Thieves Wood, this was just part of several stacks.

Logging near Vancouver, Canada

The logs are stacked via a mechanical claw, first two heaps are created, then 4 logs angled across these two piles to create a frame for a large stack of logs. Ingenious!

Art installation 'Shelter', a giant number 4 made from discarded umbrellas by artist Stephanie Imbeau, winner Channel 4's BIG4 public art competition, stands in front of the Channel 4 building on August 16, 2009 in London. The piece, a representation of channel 4's logo, is constructed from unconnected blocks so that it only appears as the number 4 from a certain viewpoint.

Making the slope shallower than I originally planned. Added 2 support trusses - it was bending a bit under my weight as I was sat up there hammering away.
