Introducing, from the Galley of the Anole, "The Captain's Grog Logs".
A cake like brownie rather than a fudge type. Of Course you must have walnuts in your brownies and I just happened to have a left over container of chocolate fudge frosting that was taking up valuable beer area in the fridge, so I gave each a quick swipe of frosting.
Ummmmmm, ummmmm !! They are fresh out of the oven so if your close by stop on by and get you one. :)
Now back to my Bimini sewing.
Never seen this before but its seems these logs travel the 25 miles from Arran to the mainland ( for use in paper mill ) being dragged behind a tugboat. I kept expecting a lorry cabin to appear at the front of the log holder as they got into the shallows :-)

Craigieburn is a Forestry Commission property. Towards the end of the walk, evidence of logging could be found, like these piles of wood.
This is a photo of my grandfather and his log truck. The picture was taken near Coburg, OR sometime in the 50's or early 60's.

Ever wonder what it takes to build a log house. These are pictures of the entire construction of our house from October 2006 to Nov 2007. It might take me a few days to put them all up, so if you're looking at these as I am posting them, check back for the rest.
I'll add these all to me log home set, so it might be easier to click that set to the right and go from there (I'll try to get them in order the best I can).
If you have any questions about the construction, feel free to ask. I was there pretty much everday and then I was there everyday after I fired our general contractor and had to finish his work myself.
Feel free to leave comments.
