Near Rising Sun, Indiana. This is the log cabin mentioned in the next picture in my photostream. The picture was taken a year or so before the other one. The grounds look considerably more manicured than they did when we were working on the cabin and addition some thirty-five or more years ago and there are trees where there weren't before. A couple of owners after my friend sold the property, the current owner built a Mc Mansion and created a new lake just down the hill from here. He doesn't use the cabin much anymore except to house visitors.

Hardly.
The relentless downpour which caused the Devon darkness that had greeted the afternoon log train had not ceased by the time that "James Bond" Class 66 No.66007 arrived in Dawlish with the Thursday's only St. Blazey to Newport Alexandra Dock Junction china clays.
The holiday was going really well at this point!
At the rear of the train are empty fuel tankers from Long Rock HST depot.
Towards the end of the evening, at a friends 30th birthday celebrations, the log burner got lit, to take the edge off a slightly cool and damp evening
We went to drop off some steers and the ranch we went to had a sign on the wall. "Children left unattended will be given a Mountain Dew and a kitty." I made an offhanded comment that we needed a mouser for our barn. Before we knew it they got out the blanket to catch them and started chucking cats in our trailer. We ended up with 4.

Top done Nov. 2008. Much of the fabric for blocks were from a 10 inch square fabric swap at About.com in 2003 (yeah, I couldn't believe it was that long ago either!). The swap was restricted to green, brick red, gold and beige/tan. Queen sized quilt 82x95 inches. This quilt will have a double batting, flannel backing and will be tied. Pieces cut using Shar Jorgensen's Log Cabin templates.
A friend of mine, Carmen, manages to stay still for 5 seconds during a long exposure. Shot on Pangkor Island, Malaysia, with an Olympus E-P3 camera, M. Zuiko 12mm f2.0 lens and a 10-stop B+W ND 3.0 filter.
This log is visible only at early morning low tide, it seats at the bottom during high tide and is about a 100 meters away from shore.
Winnie the Pooh quilttop is finished! Every block is 13" (not finished). The quilt is about 170x130 cm (67"x 51"). The Winnie the Pooh squares in the middle were fussy cut fromold pajamas. I'm considering cutting it in half to make two babyquilts instead of one lapquilt. Any suggestions?
