Most of my miles were logged through the Butler County Chapter in Pennsylvania, with some logged in the Clarion and Allegheny Forest region. I made a log book of all my travels and took tons of pictures. Some miles i hiked alone, some with my daughter, some with my Grandson's. It was fun planning and taking each and every adventure! I am looking forward to my next 100 on the North Country Trail!

When we stopped at the sawmill, we learned that the guy who ran the mill also built log cabins. He built the cabin, took it apart and moved it to the final location. This is a completed cabin.

We saw this huge pile of logs on our walk. I wonder who uses them.

The log also provides a perch for sparrows. Stanford Dish

I was trying to get shots of the water flowing, but they were over exposed. I did like this one though. I should hae a similar one at dusk with the water in motion.

The "Log Cabin" was built in 1904 by Morgan Gress for his private use. Ed Rivers bought the structure in 1928. His family lived there until November 23, 1935, when is burned to the ground. Depicted here are Mrs. Rivers, their son "d", and daughter Jerry. Mrs. Lawson Patten, holding her infant son Robert, visits with her friend, while Ralph Berryhill (wearing the catcher's mitt) talks with "D" and was the son of George Gress, who established the larger lumber mill in Milltown at the turn of the century. The Log Cabin remained the social center of Milltown/Lakeland until it burned the year for Rivers was elected Governor of Georgia.
