This is an "x-ray" version of what the view from the webcam should look like when finished. If you compare with the picture from the webcam, you can see the low wall towards the back left and the stairs in the middle.

The former Cutter Playground has been completely excavated to make way for a new underground parking garage next to the Alumni Lofts development.

The Nasher Museum is asking visitors to share photographs to enhance the exhibition "The Jazz Loft Project: W. Eugene Smith in New York City, 1957-1965" on view February 3 - July 10, 2011.

W. Eugene Smith photographed the street below his fourth-floor loft. He took some of these photos through a broken window that had been painted black. This jagged opening created an unusual frame.
