The Nasher Museum is asking visitors to share photographs to enhance the exhibition "The Jazz Loft Project: W. Eugene Smith in New York City, 1957-1965" on view February 3 - July 10, 2011.

W. Eugene Smith photographed the street below his fourth-floor loft. He took some of these photos through a broken window that had been painted black. This jagged opening created an unusual frame.

Spent the weekend in the loft clearing it out in preparation for getting new insulation laid. This is what it looks like when empty instead of the usual piles of boxes.
