Situated in Turkey, Levent Lofts was designed by Tabanlioglu Architects. The existing construction primarily started as an office building; the building is re-designed as a residence bearing the Loft concept. The long, thin building is located on a total 3.870sqm area, the front block consists of 11 stories above the ground floor, and the rear block is ground-floor +7 stories. Lofts are at various sizes and types; differing from 68 to182sqm; including duplexes; with terraces or gardens. The façade is perceived as an assortment of boxes; also, each unique module shall be distinguished from outside due to the curtain system, a range of colors and light will be reflected from inside, as a method of benefiting functional solutions for esthetics purposes.

Note the large tube in upper right. this was an analog 'feedback loop' machine I built for this show. It consisted of a large suono(sp?) tube I had used earlier for a telescope tube, about 6 feet long. Attached at both ends were snare drum heads. a copper spring ran down the center attached to the center of each drumhead, and a small amped speaker was attached to one of the drum heads. A mike was placed at the other end. There was a hole near the amped end through which I could pluck the spring. I held a mike that was hooked up to the small (2"x3") amped speaker up to the drum head the speaker was attached to and produced some amazing feedback sounds that sounded like whale songs with changing pitch as I moved the mike around. I read some poetry while producing these sounds. a fun show.. That neat old metal green chair was mine too, long gone now, I miss that chair..
