Today we flew to Kirkwall in the Orkney Islands and have pictures-to-prove-it (and video)

Britten-Norman BN2 Islander into Kirkwall

Na lange tijd is de 203 163 van Locon weer inzetbaar. Op 24 November 2016 mocht de loc de beladen afvaltrein 50582 langs Terschuur slepen naar Amersfoort afkomstig uit Apeldoorn.

Vandaag ging ik met Steven naar Reuver voor de Millinge gingen voor een LTE containertrein. Toen we naar de stek liepen zagen we een gasketeltrein aan komen. We warkalk trein. Die later online komt. Toen we weer richting Venlo en eigenlijk wel zeker dat de trein naar Lutterade moest. Dus er werd een stek bij de grens opgezocht. Toen ik ineens op het idee kwam om het stootblok op te gaan. Hoewel het hek net in de loc zit, vind ik het een geslaagde foto. Hier komt de trein langs de 2 fotografen, ter wel de Machinist ons vriendelijk groet !

Prachtige Diesel loc-s in Maldegem op het bekende evenement van op 2&3 Mei 2026

Railion 6477 is een van de heuvelloks van de Kijfhoek. En is hier aan het rangeeren met een goederentrein.

Deze "vangst" was heel bijzonder. ÖBB 1116 146 (verhuurd aan ??) met BLG autotrein naar Nederland (Amersfoort). Van een Duitse collega hobbyist begrepen we dat deze trein normaal niet op zondag rijdt. We hadden hem gisteren, zaterdag 26 juni, koud zien staan in Ibbenburen Esch. Niet wetende met welke bestemming en op welk tijdstip hij zou langskomen. Puur geluk.

De machinist heeft dus een korte dienst gehad vandaag, de loc staat nu koud in Bad Bentheim. We hebben nog een tijd gewacht op de BLG Crafter trein, maar die kwam niet. Mogelijk is er een verband met deze trein.

De spoorlijn naar Emden staat bekend om zijn vele autotreinen. Dit omdat er meerdere grote transporteurs zijn gevestigd in de haven van Emden.

DB Cargo rijdt een groot deel van de autotreinen van en naar deze stad. Daarvoor worden veelal locs van de serie 143 ingezet, een van de redenen dat Len en ik laatst een bezoek brachten aan Leer!

Met een mooie sleep gesloten wagens type Hccrrs (sinds 2017 ook standaard in Nederland te zien) komt de DB Cargo 143 837 Leer binnengereden.

Dit is nou niet gelijk een spannende foto, maar het is wel een plaatje van loc 1756. Eén van de zeventien 1700-locs die de DDAR's trekken. En deze specifieke loc had ik eigenlijk nog niet zo mooi op de foto in mijn Flickr-foto's.

 

Verder te zien op deze foto zijn de mooie grote stationsboom "in winterdracht", de nieuw beschilderde traverse, en de verse bekladdingen op de dakrand. De foto is gemaakt op een zaterdagmiddag, toen ik samen met nog vijf treinfotografen de Dolime heb gefotografeerd in de eerste week dat de HLR 77's van Lineas deze trein mochten trekken.
