Teddington Lock is a complex of three locks and a weir on the River Thames in England at Ham in the western suburbs of London. The lock is on the southern Surrey side of the river.

Lock on the ladies loo in Old Parliament House. Took the opportunity to visit the loo whilst checking out the Old House and just had to go back with my camera.
New system of holding the ships to the wall when raising and lowering them in the lock using a vacuum/suction system.

For valentines that I'm sending to Judi, and maybe putting on Etsy. I thought the lock up was particularly lovely.
Rusted lock and hasp on sliding wooden door closing prison cell at Eastern State Penitentiary in Philadelphia. The first penitentiary in the United States and the model for more than 300 more worldwide, it was thought that complete isolation would rehabilitate...instead it caused inmates to go insane.
