8 weeks into lockdown i thought my beard would be longer. Still debating on if i should keep it and try for the full Billy Gibbons look.
This delightful box was made by my very talented step-brother when he was an art student.

Shot in Buckhead, Atlanta (Georgia) during the Photo Walk. Resonates with the situation we are living in today.
My first trip out since lockdown was eased was to the secret nature trail created by my brother-in-law ... a stroll by a stream, in a bosky valley, and not another soul around ... perfect.

I planted this hydrangea last year, and by the looks of it, it's going to give me a nice show this summer. With these delicately red-fringed leaves, I think it's rather lovely, even before the flowers come out.

I have only just begun to create cyanotype prints and I am loving the whole process. I think the prints, in various stages of devolpment, make fantastic subjects to photograph.

When they can do it, why can’t we? #socialdistancing is the need of the hour. Maintain social distance and provide the support in beating corona virus.
Sorry about all the dandelion shots ... lockdown means still lifes, or garden shots, or ... still lifes in the garden!!! Yesterday, I was experimenting with different manual focus lenses ... hence all the dandelion shots.

My hair was quite long and wayward and it was beyond me to tame it, so I went for the old faithful pixie cut. First time I've cut more than my fringe and I'm really pleased with myself.
I built this Tamiya 1/35 scale plastic model kit during the 2020 UK coronavirus lockdown. It was so good for my mental wellbeing to focus for a few hours every day on a step-by-step productive task; progressing from a kit of plastic parts to my imagined completed tank. I think the Merkava tank embodies the industrial metal music of Rammstein very well, being 65 tonnes of armoured steel and incandescent firepower. There is a Rammstein logo just about visible on the front left of the hull. The angular camo is meant to break up the shape making it less visible to spy satellites.
The starlings have become regular early morning visitors to the bird table.

I do really need to get out more. Hopefully not long now. One of our wheelie bins is used for lumps of wood for the wood burner. I recently decorated it with a vinyl sticker. You will be delighted to hear, the image used for the sticker is one of my own photos. This is the Modern World.
For those working from home during the #lockdownlife, this April snow is a sort of test for you. Can you enjoy something beautiful from your window that will last only until dinnertime? Or will you complain about it?
Read my blog post <a href="https://www.spudart.org/blog/social-isolation-snow/">Snow during social isolation can be nice</a>.
Another domestic scene. I've been mostly at home for over five months now, but next week I'll be returning to the office. I'll work a week there, then a week from home, and so on. This was one of the reasons I decided to pick up my camera again. I'll be out in the real world and plan to use my lunch breaks to take a wander with the camera.
For now, these are the lovely mother-of-pearl decorated knobs that I plan to put onto a small chest of drawers in the bathroom once I've painted it. Five months at home, and I haven't done it yet!
