The Parisian sky is a canvas of endless charm and ever-changing beauty. At dawn, it blushes with hues of soft pink and gold, casting a gentle light on the city’s historic architecture. As the day progresses, the sky often turns a vibrant blue, highlighting iconic landmarks like the Eiffel Tower against its backdrop. Come dusk, it transforms into a spectacular display of oranges and purples, with the lights of Paris beginning to twinkle below. Whether it’s a clear day or one dotted with dramatic clouds, the sky over Paris never fails to inspire and captivate those who gaze upon it.

The ones on the top row, in the orange-y bag with the bright lue and yellow hangul 'lettering,' are indeed 'Maple Carmel Corn' Yum yum yum - a unique snack with a Canadian theme (charmingly, there's a Canadian flag on the back of the bag). There are also some Bugles, choco corn, and Doritoes. So, turn on the TV, tune into the Park Channel (KBS), and start munching.... ;-)

A person in one of our meetings told us we had to go to La Mariana. It's an original tiki bar in an out of the way place on the way to Sand Island. The food and drink is wonderful, and the atmosphere harkens back to 1950s Hawaii.

Had a few cups of Blue Moon Tea and some tapas yesterday at the Dushanbe Teahouse in Boulder, Colorado. It's a gift from the people of Dushanbe, Tajikistan.

You never know what you'll find at Birmingham's Naked Art Gallery. But chances are good that it'll make you smile.
Rattlesnake demonstrations, arts and crafts, and fried foods galore (even fried rattlesnake) count among the festivities at the annual Opp Rattlesnake Rodeo.
So...I'll admit, I'm not entirely sure how this photo illustrates Zen on first glance. But it does represent a Zen process for me. I spent over two hours in this amazing little shop on Canyon Rd., yesterday (Bittersweet Designs), conducting an interview for the February issue of localflavor magazine, and was captivated not only by the stories I was privy to, but also by the incredible creativity that surrounded me. I snapped a few shots, to help jog my memory for the story, and this is one of them. If nothing else, it represents Zen for me because there was no thought behind it....I just turned my camera to it and snapped. Then I enjoyed working it up in Photoshop, Zen-like...detached from everything but process, in the moment. :)

Loving it! Flamingos play a big part in my life's history, so naturally, if it's pink and flamingo, gotta photograph it....scanned from 35 mm photo

This ain't no fast food baby! Boiled potatoes and creamed herring with a glass of something white... local... and chilled. Outdoor lunch in Erfurt, Germany. This was my wife, Coni's plate. Me? Well... since Erfurt is in the 'state of Thüringia'... local flavor rules (to which I subscribe) dictated a plate of Thüringer sausage... which is just out of camera view to the right. A good German 'pils' pairs nicely! The entire 2-week trip (for me) was heavily weighted to local flavor. As it SHOULD be...
