He judged it to be around fifteen, maybe eighteen feet high, the rusty razor wire silhouetted against the darkening sky. The locked gates, a vague promise of escape...there was no way out of here bar the one way in, one way out. Had she come here voluntarily with her killer...perhaps under the influence of drink and the misapprehension of a moment of comfort, the fleeting instant of human contact, a split second of passion. However her arrival here, the embrace she received was anything but passionate. It was cold, hard and final...he had taken what he'd come for with no regard. She had surrendered her last breath, hadn't put up much of a fight, there was no sign of a struggle...perhaps caught off guard?...or she had little fight left in her? Ground down by the monotony of existence, the constant pressure of survival. Not how she had envisioned her last moments, he thought...in the loading bay of a cut price supermarket.

Built as a SupeRx Food and Drug in 1982, this store survived only a few years until it was replaced with a Florida Choice location in a former A&P Family Mart across the street in 1987. The unit is now roughly split between Aaron's and CareerSource Brevard.

I actually almost got in trouble for taking this shot. A security guard came out and told me to move on, and that Costco didn't allow photos to be taken of their property! Well, that's just silly, you can't even tell this is a Costco loading bay... Seriously, it could be anywhere. Silly small minded rent-a-cop.
