While a slightly sleazy looking pallet slouches beside her, trying hard to look cool and casual, Pinky concentrates on her bubblegum, unimpressed.

It's been a while since I've snapped a a car parked badly - not for lack them being around, but because of various reasons.
However, because I'm so out of practise - I forgot to take down his license plate - so no "name and shame" in this one... just "shame"

A return to my old photography muse & favourite, graffiti. I saw this yellow exit piece a few days ago and I knew I had to get back to capture it before its demise.
Stuck on a bay, waiting to get loaded. It is dangerous to leave me with a camera and enough time to get bored.
Deserted and desolate, only the pallets remain.
Hurrah! The fifth and final picture for the Curse of the Consecutive Colourless Challenge. Phew! I know some people thrive on this sort of thing but for me it was a bit too much like work, which is the very thing i use photography to escape from.
If this has done anything it's reminded me of why i am a clueless snapper and not a proper photographer - i take pictures of whatever i fancy for fun, for the sheer joy of doing it, not because i have to. Freerange freedom photographic fun. And if anyone else happens to like it, so much the better, and if they don't, well i'm sure they can find something else to look at.
More goes on behind those shutters than meets the eye, and here's some of it just arriving.
Taken from the wrong place with the wrong lens at the wrong time, and quite possibly by the wrong person. Me? I couldn't possibly say...

The Malthouse is a new pub, but its name reflects the fact that a brewery stoof near this spot. The pub itself is built into the shell of the Kingston Building, built in 1803 as a nail warehouse. If you look back as you cross the small footbridge you can see the old warehouse frontage, with its high sashed windows. The remains of loading bays can also be seen: many warehouses were built facing directly on to the canals, with loading bays giving direct access to the barges.

Older 1990s signage (sans the "globe" device which got shafted in 2008) still in use. It is likely to be replaced with newer "white on red" signage very soon.
A skel in the dark. Handheld JPEG given a teeny bit of tweaking in Faststone because it's easy and i'm too lazy to mess about with RAW.

Pinky always liked to catch up on gossip with the people in the shop behind her. They were a bit odd looking but friendly enough and always ready for a chat over a nice bag of rubbish or two, She did wish they were a bit firmer with those yellow totes though. They let the things charge about, yapping and sniffing wherever they wanted. They really needed to learn how to stack up neatly and be quiet when people were trying to have a conversation!
