Today, departing Lillehammer early, we prepared for a beautiful and long day, starting early with a morning drive to the village of Lom to visit one of the largest and best-preserved stave churches in Norway.
Thereafter, we drove via Sognefjellet, the highest mountain pass in Northern Europe known as the "roof of Norway", through the dramatic Norwegian countryside. We passed glaciers, pine forests as well as Galdhøpiggen, Norway's highest mountain in Jotunheimen National Park.
Finally late day, we arrived for our overnight in the heart of the fjords - Sondal, Norway

First of 4 builds for my LOM UC; also my entry for the Historica Husbandry mini-challenge in GOH. I've been wanting to do blue landscaping for a while (one-day builds don't count :P) so I quite like how this turned out. Enjoy!

Can you find the 1x1 modulex tile in this moc?
I find it totally amazing that these original churches from the 1000 century are just hanging around. No gurads, no security, little update or changes, just amazingly beautful standing there.
Btw, I dont think the lock is an original detail ...
4th Wall Commentary:
This build was fairly stress inducing, but enjoyable nonetheless. did some new whitewash, tried out some new cobblestone, brought back my hand roof in a more decorative way, and tried the Grant Davis roof technique and furthered my story in a UC.
